I use a double tap for screen shot and like you sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Also, it can go off when I put the phone down a little hard on the table. I use a triple tap for Do Not Disturb Mode when at work. The funny thing is that I inadvertently engage it when I’m just absently tapping the phone while thinking. Regarding the possibility of reverse charging, if it’s ever enabled I can see MagSafe cases for AirPods that snap to the phone and then charge through to the AirPods.

So you’re responsible for my coworkers talking about the “button” on the back of my phone. It was pretty frustrating trying to explain that it’s not a button. I had to explain that the tapping doesn’t always register and that it’s more possible to drop the phone in the process. I had to explain that the side button can be customized to do the same as well. I have the new iPhone and they don’t. They keep trying to tell me how convenient that back “button” is. I need them to get the new iPhone and show me how convenient that “button” actually is, because apparently you were the one that told them it is.

I knew about most of this stuff already. But there was a couple of things I did learn. Thanks for the video. Yeah the back tap button I learned about in the 11 pro and I had forgotten about it. And couldn’t figure out why my phone was constantly taking screenshots when I didn’t hit any of the buttons. Then I remember about the back tap. And I do use it everyday many many times a day. @@brandonrenwick9218 download the latest update, its on all phones on ios 14 from the iphone 8 upwards, its only a motion/accelerometer based software update not hardware so in theory any iphone can work, but apple restricted the roll out, anything prio to the 8 series wont get the upgrade

Back tap also works with Siri Shortcuts. So if you have a flashlight shortcut (Turn on flashlight) then it will work. Lol I have a Starbucks order option!

Where do the pictures that you take with the back tap feature go? I just tried it six times and took photos that I was asked to Use or Delete. When I hit Use, a pop-up of the Camera app with a checkmark shows up like it was "saved" to it or whatever but the pictures I took are nowhere to be found.

Back tap : Q. Does the back tap work through a phone cover. A. I have a gel rubber cover with the round finger holder and it works through the plastic and rubber. You just have to hit the correct place and tap it hard enough. It’s been available since iPhone 8. Go to Accessibility : then Touch : scroll down to Back Tap : to set it up. There’s 2 options, 2 taps and 3 taps. Hope that helps and saves 10+ mins. ✌🏼

In the early days, I could see all the screens at once and move them from the 2nd Home Screen to the last one or open the Home Screen on my iMac and then organize them from there. Would love to be able to do that. One more thing i would love to know is how to set it up to remove apps from the screen if they are no longer “active” or “usable” apps. Recently i was trying to open an app (I think it was called Instaphoto but they must have been bought out by another picture collage service but the original app was no longer valid. The new app was another fee, so i did not want to invest in it either. I just wanted the real estate back on my iphone home screens. I think UnderArmor recently lost or closed some apps as well (Record) and it would be great to get them all off the screen if they are no longer working. THANKS SO MUCH!!! Great Channel

I was planning to trade my iPhone 12 Pro Max for the new iPhone 12 Pro just because of the HDR image. However, if and since this feature does not seem to be shareable unless the other party has HDR capabilities. Then, there is no sense to upgrade my iPhone 11 Pro Max which by the way it has a better battery life then. I will wait until 2021 from the next iPhone because this far the 5G feature it’s not a good enough reason to upgrade.

I have an iPhone 8 and activated the back tap feature. It worked, but! I activated the triple tap to turn on the flashlight. I had to take the phone out of the case to get it to work. Apparently the case absorbs the force of the tapping and the phone doesn't recognize what I'm doing. Great if you are a raw phone user.
