I got 256 GB SE when it released and I was able to get nice Apple Watch now as well. The phone works really well for me so I do not plan to upgrade anytime soon. I love its size and Touch ID. I am really surprised how good the phone is. It misses some features but it is really hard to convince myself it would make more sense to get iPhone 12 mini vs SE + Watch combo. I might be convinced one day to upgrade, maybe meaningful AR, but t hat seems few years away still even though LIDAR is now almost mainstream. And we need AR glasses, it makes little sense otherwise.

The SE really is the best bang for the buck. I went for the 128GB for $450 and love it. My old 6s was a perfect phone. And I love touch id. There is something about having a physical button to return to the home screen that just works for me. That new 12 mini does look nice though. I carry my phone in my pocket and I could never get used to the bigger form factor of the 11/XR/Pro but I really don't think I need to spend $780 to get the form factor I prefer and a 'zoom out' camera.

64 Gig iPhones are not only budgeted for consumers but for businesses as well. An employee at a company doesn't need 128 gigs of storage to check Email/Outlook, WorkDay, Box, OneDrive, and Skype/Teams. Especially the fact that some of these employees treat a phone worse than a rental car, some just deserve a 16 Gig phone.

Overall I’d say just get the iPhone 11 because you said in the last sentence the 12’s price scares you. The 11 has like 98% of the features the 12 has and it’ll still last you for about 4/5 more years of software updates. You’ll only be missing out on OLED, night mode on every camera.

So, to have access to 5G, assuming it’s available in Jacksonville FL, I have to “upgrade” from my Family Shared Data Plan (already with more data than I use in a month) to an unlimited plan. I picked up the iPhone 11 256gig and don’t regret even a bit. I moved from Galaxy note 10. Except the display (is not marking a huge difference) everything is much much better. The experience is just fantastic. Happy to go back to Apple ecosystem with my iPad and iPhone syncing seamlessly. It’s a straight forward phone with the right oomph for all the tasks that you want it to handle. It’s a seal deal for another 4-5 years with this beast. Loving it

The SE is really where the rubber meet the road IMO. $450 for a 128GB beast. Great camera (I don't need a 'zoom out' mode) and Touch ID is so damn convenient. I loved my 6s and hated the thought that I'd need to give up the home button. Keep it simple. Don't overpay for a texting machine.

I would recommend the XS or XS MAX priced in between SE and XR here in US. You can find really good deals online like ebay or WOOT. It includes bigger screen size (5.8" and 6.5"), dual cameras (telephoto) and OLED display panel. But I wouldn't consider any iPhone less than iPhone X because of it's A11 Bionic chip and 3GB of RAM. XS max is the best value in iPhones if you plan on keeping it for a while. IMO.

I'm waiting to see if the rumors prove true about the 6.1" SE 3 (or Plus) with a wide and telephoto lens. Don't need oled or 5G just need a bigger screen than the SE 2 ( it's where I read my books). I'ld much rather get really close details when I can't physically stand closer, like on tiny objects, using the telephoto, then having an ultra wide lens taking up space and never getting used. We're talking iPhone 8+ camera choices here. Please keep us informed with anything you find on the 2021 bigger SE. I'm hanging on your every word.

Unless you’re doing a lot of photography or night videos, I would say the XS still works pretty well.

unless you have bad performance or battery drain issues, you’re not getting much improvement to the 12. 5G isn’t ready enough to make a meaningful difference, and of course the cameras are better but again, not enough to make a meaningful difference.

I would say yea pretty sure your battery isn't as strong as it was what 2 years ago, the new shape would probably be somewhat satisfying, brighter screen and just overall speed and feel. You can also catch ghost in your house with the low light photo which is damn near no light photo.

I had the XS, and upgraded to the 11 Pro last year when it came out. The improvement in battery life alone was worth that upgrade. I don’t know how things have affected you with the pandemic or what your phone use is like, but if you can upgrade.

Apple should honestly stop making 64 GB phones in coca 128 goodbye it’s for the base model knowing that it’s only an extra 50 bucks currently to upgrade from 64 feet by to 128 GB and you’ll be getting double the storage
