This is honestly the best iPhone comparison video I have ever watched. It was so helpful seeing all the different colours in each type of lighting. I have been torn between the Gold and Sierra Blue. I think the Gold is super classy, but I had the 12 Pro in that color. The Sierra Blue is just so gorgeous and finally a color that isn't masculine like the previous 2 were. I’ve had the Sierra Blue for a few months and sold it for 90% of what I paid and picked up the Graphite Color instead, definitely don’t regret it, the Sierra Blue looked too silver a lot of times for me and having the Graphite it definitely looks better for me.

I bought sierra blue and I love it. It's very close to my iPad Air's sky blue color. Gives silver-ish look at some angles so I like it. I'm kind of disappointed how you said it's pale dull etc... later I took it as YOUR opinion, not what me or everyone else might feel like. So, If anyone here likes light blue colors, go for it. You wouldn't regret it :)

I love the graphite and silver can't decide between the two. Both are simplistic and beautiful. But the silver has somewhat aggressive metallic sides, I prefer the darker sides on the graphite but the white back would match with more bright cases. Tough choice!

Gold hands down! The White/Silver certainly is clinically clean and does look nice, however it has too much of a cold bleakness to it and lacks any hint of colour to add some warmth and life to those destitute, post-apocalyptic bleak grey wintery days. Again it's a really clean colour option, but I can't help thinking of bathrooms/toilets with their clean white ceramic basins and shiny silver chrome taps (not an ideal association). The Space-Grey is certainly a true classic and the one to go for if your unsure and/or want it to blend with anything else - for those wanting black, then it's the closest (only choice) you get, however myself and no doubt many other techies often have way too many gadgets and tech in black already which leaves you with an urge and a feeling to break away from that repetition in order to have something different, but not too extreme. The Sierra-Blue is a nice shade of blue this time around and quite unique, however as refreshing as the yearly special colour options are, they tend to become a novelty that very soon goes out of date and out of fashion. I even liked the green that came out on the iPhone 11 at the time, but that was only briefly at the time as I couldn't imagine nor bare having that colour now. The sierra blue is probably the best out of the special colour options so far though. But, I think it's likely going to be Gold for me (again). I already have a 12 pro max in gold and will be upgrading very soon. I've always had black iPhones and then space grey before finally having gold for my last two iPhones. I have been torn between getting gold again, or space grey, or white/silver in which white/silver would be the fist time for me; I must admit, very very tempted on white/silver. However for the reasons above, I think it will be gold again. Incidentally, I have my gold iPhone 12 Pro Max in the rather impressive UAG Midnight Camo case and with the iPhone's black screen (when off) and black case sides with very dark Midnight Camo back pattern, you would think it's a black iPhone except for the camera cut-out that gives it away - basically I get more choice this way with dark look when in the case or that warm gold accent look when phone is bare. (you can see the dilemma I've had choosing!)

Thanks for making this video, as someone said earlier, please do one like this every year. Sierra Blue looks great, but I think to take advantage of this color, you need to use a clear case. Graphite was my first choice, but I was tossing up between blue and graphite. I plan to get a few cases so I think the Graphite is probably the color I'm gonna go for. Clear case, UAG, leather case, that dark camera look just works all around. And I know after a few months, if I get the blue, I'll end up wrapping it for a different look. I didn't care what color my Pro Max was. Told the clerk surprise me. Color is a complete non issue for me. Ended up with Sierra Blue. Put a screen protector, back protector on and tossed it in a Spigen Tough Armor case.

I ordered the Pro Max in silver. Clean look, draws less sunlight when outside or if it’s in my windshield being used for navigation. Plus it’s easier to find in the dark. I absolutely love the blue, but I chose the silver for the exact reason that you said. Fun colors & transparent colored cases look best on the white/silver combo. & I love changing cases to fit my mood. My last phone, the Xs max was also silver, when everyone else was going crazy over the gold. I didn’t pick it because my phone before it (6S+) was gold & I used it for 3 years & was ready for a change & didn’t always like the way it looked in certain color cases.

I’ve always been a graphite/space grey person. All 4 of the phones I’ve owned so far have been that color. For this iPhone model my mom and sister own the Sierra blue that I helped pick for them at the Verizon store because I, myself, loved the color the most. I still think it’s the most stunning color for iPhones I’ve seen, yet I don’t want to match with my two family members. Then again it doesn’t matter because we’re all gonna have cases on it anyways. I’m also tempted to get the gold one which is interesting because in prior years I’ve hated how bold and too “gold” looking that color was. Now I think it’s so nice and almost like a beige or cream color as opposed to a gold. Def stuck between that and Sierra blue

An excellent demonstration of the different colours available, which can't even be seen in some (carrier's) stores; either because they only have one colour on display or they have the phones stuck down so that you can't see the back. I particularly appreciated the amount of time spent showing comparisons of the phones' edges. Personally I wouid have preferred for Apple to have given the Pro edges a satin finish this year, as the shiny metal doesn't really look all that premium and it can only be a negative in my view i.e. a fingerprint and scratch magnet. Anyway, thanks Daniel. BTW, I was half-tempted by the blue but I think the graphite is probably the safest bet in the long term. Gimme Space Grey any day though!

After owning the gold xs and now upgrading, I still kept the gold but I’m still questioning whether it was the right decision. The white/silver is super clean, the graphite is simply cool asf, and the blue is new and looks quite unique

I like the Pacific Blue way more than Sierra Blue and it was my favorite last year. I'd have to say 1. Graphite 2. Silver 3. Blue 4. Gold

It isn’t just the blue that is “dull”, they ALL are and always have been on the Pro. Didn’t like the new blue at first but now compared to the Pacific it looks better to me :) … and the graphite (aka space grey) has been around since the dawn of time and is cool but super boring.

it is a grower. I find the pacific blue too mainstream, a lot of people went for it but for me it is more interesting to have a look at the Sierra Blue and see different colours each time and with different lighting. It’s not for everyone 💁🏻‍♂️

Well most people wear cases anyway. I am not sure if I want gold or silver… so I’ll take the first one that they will have(looks like a month of waiting…). I have 11 Pro Max in Gold. It looks amazing… but I don’t have any clear cases anymore(they turn a bit yeľow after some time.. most of them). But I get it, some people like to show off the colour of whatever. That was just my opinion.
