If you consider, that the iPhone 13 Pro Max is essentially a mini iPad with better cameras and the ability to make phone calls, and the iPad is able to handle the majority of the functions one would use a laptop computer for, then you could actually just buy the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max, a magic keyboard with mouse, and an adapter to plug it into a larger monitor or AirPlay, and call it a day…. The Apple chip is basically the same chip tweaked specifically for each device. No other smartphone or PC would be nearly as powerful… The difference would be Apples and lemons… …

I dont know why everyone is complaining. I've never had any problems with the slightly increased weight or the edges being too sharp for the fingers in the long run and to be honest my favourite part is the camera. Because of the size of the camera lens it gives you the feel of a premium device. If I'm being honest if apple would get rid of the bump i wouldn't like the phone. It would give the new and improved phone a back to the future vibe (in a bad way).

Man, you always crack me up, your reviews are both good and hilarious!!!... And yes, you probably are THE ONLY reviewer out there not looking the other way when something doesn´t add up with the iPhone. Yes, the size and weight are ridiculous on this thing, something that people have to deal with every single minute of ownership, yet they are fooled to think it´s all bloody awesome because of... well, what else, the camera! Also, so glad you brought up the absolute disaster that has been software quality for years on the iPhone. So much for shouting out how awesome it is to have huge amounts of users upgraded on the first few days... Yup, because that means they´re all impacted!.... Great thinking, Apple!... It is actually a disgrace how many popular KZbinrs consciously decide to completely ignore this consistently, year after year, review after review... Money talks, I suppose?
@mikldude93763 жыл бұрын
Well to be fair , a lot of us don’t buy iPhones just because of the camera bud , and some of us do like the solid robust feel and big wide screen , and not only that , if it is too big for you , no one is twisting your arm up your back to buy the large model , and you have the choice of small models right down to the mini ! I might add there are plenty of big heavy android phones. As for software issues , android has plenty of these too, the difference is given the speed of updates on iPhones they are usually fixed very quickly , the same cannot be said for many android phones.
@TheLinuxExperience3 жыл бұрын
@@mikldude9376 You missed my point, I was addressing reviewers for the most part, as well as Apple´s marketing. They do focus mostly on camera and influence people´s view on what is important on a device in doing so. It´s not about having other iPhone sizes (don´t even get me started on ergonomics), it´s about Tech Spurt (one of very few channels) pointing out issues that are considerably important and that are systematically left out of 99% of reviews out there, and that is no coincidence. As he rightly put it, pretty much most other reviews are overly positive and not even mention these very real issues. However, if they happen on any other brand, they are most often exaggerated, blown out of proportion. A great example of this happened with the Oneplus 9 Pro, a great device whose camera just fell a bit short of expectations and it was pretty much obliterated in reviews. As for how many people buy iPhones for the camera, I think you´d be surprised, but nobody can tell for sure of course. Just a look at how Apple targets its marketing, and has done for years, should be quite telling, though. It would seem like all Apple users are pretty much professional content creators. I own both an iPhone and an Android device and have for years, I know both platforms fairly well and, unlike most people spreading clichés, can speak from experience and I have not seen as many bugs in Android for years as I have in iOS. You are right that those bugs are addressed and fixed fairly quickly (though new ones are often introduced on dot releases that are supposed to fix stuff) but Android users, due to how the platform works, rarely get impacted on a mass scale like iOS users do. There is a reason why corporate software NEVER wants to be on the latest version, on the cutting edge, and that´s precisely to allow time for software to mature and get more solid. For better or worse, Android users get this experience naturally. Also, because of how Android is designed, there is less and less incentive in being in the latest release, because changes are fairly minimal year on year. All of the application layers are updated separately from the core, so there is very little that an Android user on version 11, even on version 10, and current security updates (which more and more manufacturers offer and are current on) is going to miss from an Android 12 user. That is a completely different story on iOS. Don´t get me wrong, I think the iPhone is a GREAT device, but it is far from perfect and I feel like most reviews are not objectively capturing what it´s all about.

These three things for me makes everything worth it. I haven’t had any issues or bugs with iOS 15.2 and I have just experienced that lack of touch sensitivity in small icons, but that is not always and is not that dramatic. The thing is, they cost a lot, but you'd still be happy with that phone in 5 years time. IOS is just a work of art, and it almost doesn't matter what hardware you are using with it. Use an Iphone 8 today and it will still be great, and to some extent pretty unrecognisable from an Iphone 13. Yes, the hardware changes a bit, and the cameras get forever better, but the user experience (day-to-day) would be roughly the same using a 2016 Iphone and a 2021 Iphone. Whereas, if you used Galaxy S4 or S5 today it would seem absolutely ancient. That's the appeal of Apple. It's very future proofed. And I'm not some Apple fanboy - my current phone is an android, as have the 3 previous phones. I'm just someone who understands and likes both Apple and Android. Their strengths and weaknesses are just different. If you're someone who wants to change phone every year, and have the absolute best hardware, buy an Android. If you're someone who wants the phone that is going to offer the best hardware/experience over 2-3 years, buy an Iphone

Result in a dark room is good, double tap, then adjust screen brightness to suit. Then double tap to cancel it to normal brightness. Only thing to be wary of is zooming into the screen with a triple tap, if you do that, just a three finger double tap cancels it.

I do agree that 90% of reviews are just ads for the iPhone. I mean it’s not just the positive quotes, but just all the glamour cinematography they make about it. The iPhone isn’t as bad as you make it out to be. The huge notch is there so your fave can open the phone at night. So it has a purpose and is justified. I also haven’t experienced the bugs you have. The price of the iPhone is only bad if you upgrade your phone every year. These things last an easy 4 years. An iPhone X still does a bang up job and it isn’t even on its last legs as OS upgrades go. And in Australia if you battery capacity is under 80% within 2 years apple will replace it for free. Even then battery replacement are I think around $100. Sounds expensive, but it will still perform as well as an upper midrange android and you didn’t spend the $300-500. I honestly don’t experience the bugs you have, that frequently. Never had it freeze or shut down. I had it drain battery once and that’s a colossal screw up I agree. These days I think people are so ingrained in their OS’s it’s hard to switch. It’s what you are used to these days not what’s better.

I use heavy video encoding on a laptop, I have to take hundreds of photos on site and upload them to our commercial Apple hosted servers and we use iPad Pro's for imaging on particular jobs due to a very useful piece of software that uses the lidar sensors and really need the larger screen for absolute accuracy. To be able to snap photos on my phone without the need to use a separate one for business, use lidar imaging & data entry on the iPad and then open my macbook and all that data is in front of me, with zero intervention, it's super helpful and reduces the extra legwork required to move stuff around. In that manner it's a win. It might cost a kidney to buy, but it saves me hours of extra work a month! Top video, really enjoyed it! Interesting to see what it does better than the 12 Pro Max. I'm not upgrading this year, but next year, we'll see whats in store.

All maxed out flagships are priced like these. (Except ofcourse for the recent Pixel.) I hope that will be the start of the flagships going down on price.

not happening. There is demand for such expensive phones so companies will keep increasing the price and reducing stuff. The general public doesn't care.

Another video that is well produced, informative, and helpful. Well done Mr Spurt. Yes, it's a brilliant phone (I'm utterly anti Apple but I still recognise their quality) barring a few launching niggles. Hopefully they will be resolved after a software update. If you're going to buy one phone for the next 3 - 4 years this will meet your needs and at £300 / year it's actually not bad value. Obviously, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. A niece of mine has an elderly Apple phone. She isn't any kind of gamer or power user and couldn't find many obvious advantages over a £120 budget blower that's probably going to be usable for 2 years. Yes, she will be upgrading to a bigger, better, newer Apple. Her social circle all have Apples. Cheers and thank you for the video.

I like em cakey 😊. I'm thinking about finally switching to iphone from the galaxy phone I've been with forever. Never owned a iPhone so would this 13 pro max be the apple to get for my first time?

I would like to have one for my son struggling with his iPhone 6 16 GB Silver that has already caused him alot of problems in the past, any color may do and whatever memory variant, my son is not a picky one as well. Thank you so much for your kind heart.

I bought one to move from S9+.. price absolutely crazy and I said i would never spend that much on a phone.. but here we are.. hope it's worth it and I don't regret moving on from Android. The screen has me worried.. very expensive to repair if it breaks..

Most Reviewers are definitely OVERLY POSITIVE & HAVE been hyping the iPhone 13 pro max so much i expect to see PAID SPONSORSHIP on their videos. Especially the other high tech guys on youtube (i won't mention names) but they obviously have a bias for iPhones. It's like apple paying them. The iPhones are a great brand but there's definitely a certain level of bias.

To try iOS, I have just bought an iPhone X, refurbished last month by Apple, for £250 which, despite it's age, has no problems running iOS 15.1.

The new pixel has poor battery life according to mkbhd and battery comparison videos. so what's the point! My galaxy note 20 ultra is in the same boat I love my note but what's the point if the battery is crap? I've ordered the iPhone13 Pro max based on great battery life I was going to go for the new pixel but battery life is terrible . At least the iPhone holds its price compared to android phones which loose crazy amounts of value in such a small time frame. Still waiting for that perfect phone

I’ve always been android all my life, I’ve upgraded to the 13 pro max last week. It’s taken a lot to get use to but I’m really happy with it, so far I’ll be sticking with apple from now on. Everything is much smoother and the camera puts Samsung to shame. Very fingerprint happy but that’s down to the design. Looks really well for the first 10 seconds, but other all very happy with it
@grayblues.64242 жыл бұрын
idk about other android phones but Samsung's camera surpasses iPhone camera nowadays, just watch camera comparison videos lol. iPhone's camera is lacking at night and indoors, their software can sharpen the image a little too much and make imperfections stand out indoors in low light conditions. idk what prehistoric android you were using lmao
@joshhawley66752 жыл бұрын
@@grayblues.6424 i don’t really take videos and rarely take indoor pictures. In my opinion the 13 pro camera is a lot better than Samsung. My wife has the S21+ and the 13 pro max seems so much better

Wonderful and honest review,. Thumbs up for the knuckle rap regarding the tired and dated design and the less than optimal ergonomics. I have a back-up iPhone 7 Plus which is in many ways just as good as this phone and it’s camera is astoundingly good.
