I upgraded from the 12 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max. iOS 15 was the bigger “upgrade” I noticed from the 12. Pro Motion was the other significant upgrade, however after a week of use, your eyes adapt to the 120hz display and it loses some of the “coolness” that it initially had.

I actually have the 12 Pro Max and got to test out my Aunts 13 Pro. The camera differences arent as dramatic as the reviewers say they are. I was even more disappointed with the ultra wide camera, it didn’t make a big difference. The speaker quality is a bigger difference than the cameras. I would go as far as to say that my 12 PM display is ever so slightly more color accurate. Battery is a HUGE difference though.

I agree, the 13 is not that much better, at least not €400. My advice: get a used 12 Pro Max if you're updating from an older iPhone. Just upgraded from a 7 plus to a 6 months for . Like new (no scratches), 99% battery health, still under Apple Care warranty (original price €1207).

Battery is crazy good. Kinda disappointed about battery size on regular pro I understand it at the same time. If they put 3500mAh on regular pro, the battery is gonna be beast in perfect size.

That’s the part where the regular pro 13 missed as compared to the pro max 13. The increase in battery life is not exponential to it. However it’s not like the battery life of the regular pro is anything to complain with.

It’s so funny. I Never charge my phone at night. I charge it when it hits 40%. That way I never am out of battery when I need to leave the house without notice. And I only ever charge to 80%, unless I know i can’t charge for the full day. Yes, indeed. I only use 40% of the battery. And it’s never an issue. There are so many situations where the phone is not in my bag and a charger is close.

I know this is an iPhone video, and I know youre not a big gamer, but Id like to see you do a performance review of the Alienware X17. Its very thin, and reasonably light, but other reviewers have said it has ridiculous amounts of power while staying very cool under load, so it would be interesting to see how a creator/editor/designer would benefit from that amount of horsepower in as thin of a chassis as possible. It has the gamer aesthetic, sure, but Ive not seen this level of performance, and COOLING, in such a small chassis.

@@elias1995ish that was actually a big concern of mine, but I’m loving it. Doesn’t feel as big as I thought it would be, it’s still big, but I find it more manageable than I thought. It’s a little more of a two handed phone, but I can do quick things with one hand. I thought it might be a lot to get used to but it really wasn’t. If you’re coming from the 11 max it will be less of an adjustment than it was for me. If you buy from Apple you can always return it.

The 12pm is still a great phone but the 13 pm is just better across the board it’s actually a big upgrade imo the battery life plus 120hz and big camera improvements the pro res and macro are my favorites and just the camera overall

I don't charge my phone overnight. Only in the mornings to about 80 percent to keep the battery as healthy as possible. The 12 pro max in my scenario lasts wayyy longer than the 12.

It's 2023 and I just got the 12 PM (was on a XS Max) and I love it. Honestly, price was the biggest factor. $800 for a refurb like new 256 was around $500 cheaper than a 13PM...and 14PM was even more - I buy my phones outright. So value for money, I am right where I need to be. Was hoping for a bigger jump at 15, but will be nice to see Type C, and glad that form factor will remain similar (selfishly, so my "new" phone seems new for a longer time)...looks like I'll be good until at least the 16...maybe even 17.

Actually returned my 13 pro this morning. The heating and display dimming issues outside were way too much for me. Other reviewers like max tech have also shown it to be an issue. I'll just wait for the 6 pro . The 6 pro will most likely have batter cameras anyways so🤷

@@earnistse4899 While I won’t argue that fact, it would be nice, I don’t think it will ever happen as the 12 and 13 both do it. If you talk to support they say it is functioning as it should. The screen goes black at a certain temperature to prevent the phone from overheating and causing damage. I will say it is usually pretty hot when it occurs. Low power doesn’t get nearly as hot and almost everything still functions. I am not defending Apple on this one. I am sure it is because of the processors. A fan isn’t practical. It isn’t as bad without a case. Maybe vents in the chassis, heat sinks, or something in the design to allow more airflow (though that ends water proof). Maybe someone can design a Cool Case.

Upgraded from the 12 Pro Max 128gb to the 13 Pro Max 256gb. Main reason was 120hz. The PC Enthusiast in me has been waiting for this for years. second reason is getting by with 128gb is rough now. I was fine for many years but last year was annoying. 256gb feels more "safe". I'll be fine with this phone for a few years. I don't upgrade every year. I felt like it was needed.
