I'm currently using both. I realised that the 13 Pro Max is a daily driver while the fold 3 is just nice to flex around or to watch KZbin videos. I haven't used the s pen yet but I don't think I'll ever need that..

Really really good review, just watched this before ordering my ZF3 just to be 100% certain I was doing the right thing and yes, this review hasn’t changed my mind and my ZF3 will be ordered straight after writing this. Don’t get me wrong the iPhone 13 max pro does look an incredible phone but Samsung wins hands down for me with its innovative design, features etc. also I’m gonna go for the 512GB version as the price doesn’t jump much at all considering the memory gets doubled and that will come into play when I sell or trade my ZF3 in the future. It’s a shame the ZF3 has done away with the memory expansion slot but 512gb will be more than enough for me anyway. Thanks again for the great review.✌️

Hey dude! You vibe that you favor the iPhone and you seem to want the iPhone to win over Samsung's flagship. I like both for what they offer. There's always something that one offers that could be considered way ahead of the other. Apple devices work, they work well and work well with other Apple devices, even though they're still playing catch up in their locked ecosystem. It's a scary thought to be locked into the Apple ecosystem! 😆😢 Now Samsung and Android-they're beginning to get it together with working together like Apple but I have always preferred the flexibility to dress my device(s) according to my own liking and style, also the amazing innovations of Samsung devices. It used to be such a major frustration when waiting for a software update. And I can't always have full confidence in some (JUST SOME) of Android's apps being pretty solid as most of ios apps are. More solid apps for ios than Android. That also goes for accessories. They make just about everything for Apple devices! I understand why a person would prefer an Apple device. I understand why a person would prefer an Android device. I'm curious to see the feedback on my comment here, if there will be any.

My iphone friends and android regular phone friends would like to consider. It's just the price that's stopping them but they're about to drop the bomb as well

If you're on fb or instagram and your friends posted a photo, you couldn't even tell of it was taken from iphone or android. The thing now is Fold 3 is the game changer. Watching on my new Z flip 3, I also have an iPhone12 pro max. I decided to try out something different and so glad I did. I am sure that in 2 or 3 years the fold will be the new king every years since it might be merging with the Note series. I am already looking forward to drop the Apple ecosystem, it is great but same thing every year. Apple has a huge lack of innovation and I am sure it will probably take like 10 years from now to catch up with today's technology. By then Samsung will be the Global leader.

I bought the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and I am really happy with it so far. Its not even a month. I love the multitasking features. I don't need to carry my tab anymore. I use the dex mode a lot. I love playing PS2, Wii and Gamecube games on it. Xcloud games on the main screen is just fantastic. Display is the best ever. Under display camera is just usable for video calling. The cameras are very good and I am happy. Still the camera on S21 Ultra is best but Z Fold 3 is also good if not the best. I am really happy with my investment and makes me proud as this phone really gets so much attraction wherever I go. I multitask together with MS Excel a lot along with Chrome, MS Word and Calculator together. The 12GB Ram really helps as even with more than 16 tabs open on chrome the phone never lags. SD888 is a beast.

9:09 when did iOS get true multitasking? On my Fold 3 I can triple split screen to simultaneously run three different apps running at the same time on one screen. Like having a Zoom call, having my email inbox open and having the document we're zooming about open. Basically exactly what I have on my Windows laptop sessions where I need two monitors

As an iPhone user, I can advise that I use may iPad so I have no interest on split screen on a six inch iPhone a it is unproductive.

@@andyH_England When you need to make quick I-banking payments and you need to type in a recipient's account number that you have stored on another app, or if you need to input any other information from another app/page onto a page, it's quite handy to have split screen. Having to minimize apps and shuffle through them to type something is annoying. And let's be honest, you won't be able to carry around an iPad everywhere you go. It's not like you can pull out an iPad and start typing away while standing on the train or bus. Maybe you can if your bus or train travels allow you to sit most of the time, but from where I commute, I have to stand all the time because the cars are usually packed. That's why I have an iPad but still ended up getting the Fold because I can use a big screen anywhere on the go.

But in your early post, you made a sweeping statement that a split screen is unproductive in a phone and that you rely on your iPad, and I am just refuting that statement. The iPad is impractical when you are always on the go on trains or buses, and gets mostly unused at home/office if you already have a good desktop there. It's only best for people who are sitting long periods at a time far away from home/office, or those who don't have a computer at home. A lot of people have to do Internet-based transactions away from home/office. Again, you can just stick with your iphone and ipad, no one cares. But don't make an ignorant comment only for the sake of justifying and defending what Apple doesn't provide the consumers.

Zfold3 feels like the future to me, other phones feel like slabs. You can only refine a slab design and experience so much. The zf3 experience for me has slowly become amazing for productivity and entertainment. Normal flagships are not even in the same league. Does the zf3 have some imperfections? Absolutely,: battery life, slightly narrow front screen, camera should be even better. If you actually get this phone, give it time to see the number of things you can use it for.

@@CashCollecta honestly, the phone has some heft but nothing unbearable. When closed, It is very comfortable to hold and great for one hand use. It fits in a pocket just fine although it doesn't hurt to wear a belt or pants with a drawstring because of the extra weight.

I Litually work in a care home where my phone is put into a locker, brightness is always low as I suffer with migraines so can’t deal with bright lights anyway, always close all my apps and windows after using them, and I would come back to locker few hours later and it still goes down like 20% at a time and got help when I’m actually on it dies super quick when I’m disappointed as main reason for it it to watch content on bigger screen, my partner was Taking the piss as he has an iPhone that lasts 2 days and mine wasn’t lasting a day so yeah, must be faulty battery

I feel like inovations with modern shaped phones can only go as far as removing the physical selfie camera and hiding it under the display for a full screen experience, since the bezels get trimmed down year after year. The next thing would have to be a fold mechanism or a rollable display, sure they may be in their 2nd generation now but in future I feel like most phones will follow the trend of having foldable display.

The problem with rollables is that the screen would have to be made entirely from a flexible plastic in order to be rollable. And it would always be exposed to surfaces. It would get damaged really easily, and the actual change in size with the expansion of the phone would make putting a case on it impossible. Rollables are a gimmick, foldables actually add functionality (being able to support itself for video calls or taking photos, using the main cameras as selfie cams, etc) being rollable just adds being rollable. I can say with 100% certainty, rollables will never become a mainstream option.

I just don't think these phones are comparable. IPhone 13 could just as well be the 12, and on top of that Apple could have better specs all around but you're comparing a regular phone to one that folds. It's like.... people are going to want them for completely different reasons. It's like going back to the early 2000's and doing a comparison between an old brick phone and a smart phone. The smart phone does so much more but there's always going to be those people who are like "but I just need my phone to send calls and text... I dont need it smart" BUT people are comparing the fold 3 to other phones instead, sorta like a review of brick phone compared to a non smart phone like the (old) Motorola razer. It just seems kind of weird to compare the Fold 3 to other standard phones at this point for me.

Lol bro we are not faking about the outer screen of the z fold 3, if we are being honest it is very very usable, I own one and surprisingly I use the outer screen more than the larger inner screen, it depends on your work and your usage, to be honest I feel like you are the one faking about outer screen not being usable because I'm still struggling to see how it is not usable , and also you were talking about how watching video is a draw back on the fold because it doesn't fill up the screen and if you zoom in it'll crop out, note; watching some videos on Netflix supports that type of aspect ratio, and also let's try to be honest not even the iPhone takes advantage of the full screen because watching videos will not fill up the screen on the iPhone and even if you zoom in the videos will still crop in and let's not forget that the notch is always there to destroy the experience when watching videos at full screen, and especially when gaming so please let's get that right

If you trade in a phone you get another $200-300 on top of the street price of your trade in phone. Finally you get a base storage 256gb. Samsung use this marketing model. Apple gives you zero discount the 256gb base storage adds another $150. So yeah, fold 3 is about iphone 13 pro max price (or even much cheaper). Then apple fans will give excuse that iphone got a higher resale price. That's also a fallacy and self consolation. They said after 1 year, fold 3 drops 50% i.e $900 resale value (of course RRP is used to exaggerate the big drop) and iphone only drops 30% In actual fact the fold 3 buyers lost only 20% but iphone buyers lost 30%. And it would cost much more to make the fold3. Now you know how much over priced iphone is. And everytime apple fans said iphone is cheap price, Apple is laughing all the way to the bank.

This is the clearest comparison I've watched... You ways give the best reviews. I think the under camera display is pretty good considering it's the first one for Samsung. I don't use it often but I won't complain. Way to be unbiased... I have kept a Note and an iPhone, I went to the Fold but haven't upgraded to the iPhone 13 yet... didn't see a good enough reason to. Having a iPhone 13 Pro Max I really thought I’d enjoy the switch to android. So I bought the Z Fold and ended up sending it back two days later. The lack of ease of iOS the lack of FaceTime and iMessage the terrible battery life. I like how open android is and being able to run almost anything I want but do you really want that on a phone? Not me back you the iPhone for now.

I made the right choice for me which was the Galazy Z Fold 3. I will say if you want a phone with great battery life, don't get the Z Fold 3. The battery life is fine if you're a light to average user but if you're a heavy user who plays graphics intensive games on your phone, you'll be looking to charge your phone long before the day's over. I knew that when I bought the phone so I can live with it. My biggest gripe is that you can't use the S-Pen on the outer screen and trying to type on the outer screen if you have big hands is frustrating. I get Samsung wants you to open up the phone and use the bigger screen, but I wish the outer screen was a little bit wider when you want to do something quick like reply to a text. I still have no regrets with my purchase. This phone is a beast and is a head turner when you open it up out in public.

Samsung's were far better. Samsung's camera's are better in almost every aspect. Battery life? Who cares if your smartphone makes it through the day. Iphones are very simple smartphones with limited usability and that's why their batteries last longer. iphones are not as durable as Samsung flagships. Iphone qualitiy has degraded immense the past years. Samsung offers perfect software support when needed. Iphones have so much problems and issues right from the start and with all the updates they receive that Iphones are far from stabile. Iphones are know for their giant amount of issues/problemsw with hard- and sofware. Easie to carry around. A VW beatle is also easier to 'carry' around than a Rolls Royce being Apple the Beatle en Samsung the Rolls. You live in the past my friend. Things have drastically changed the past 6-7 years. I think people get too caught up in ecosystems and look for any reason to justify their purchases. Most Apple users get the iPhone and other products for status and don't even use their devices in a productive manner. I bounce back and forth between ios and android because I can appreciate the beauty in both platforms. I traded my 12 pro max for the z 3. Coupled with my chromebook, and all my needs are meet. When you stop worrying about being a green bubble in a conversation, and get what you really like, you really bring out the full capabilities of your devices.

That’s in fact why I discarded my zF3, because the screen was too small and the big one was too big and all the time I was afraid that it would break because it is very thick and super uncomfortable in my hand. I really hated open an app using the main screen which’s super large and the keyboard super small, the video and photos never looked good on Instagram, i just didn’t like that phone at all, I thought was going to be super fun to have that phone but It’s was absolutely the opposite 😒

I love both apple and Samsung but the thing is that I would probably convert to Samsung. The reason why is that apple has lately just not been doing it for me as iOS has been lagging, the camera doesn’t fully function the way it’s suppose to work, and since I’m a heavy phone user due to work my iPhone 13 pro max gets warm which starts to make the phone slow down. I have to multitask and I also have big hands, so to me I feel zfold3 will do it for me on my work and personal life

A phone and a tablet in one is amazing. I had the chance to compare these 2 and I couldn't get enough of the fold 3. Futuristic and definitely a beautiful phone. The iphone was weird the 120 hertz feel like 90 and it was visible. My Poco F3 is even better in scrolling. Yes the iphone is great but it is just an old top notched brick to me while the fold is everything and it can only get better.

iPhone 13 is always convenient as a phone. Fold 3 basic utility is the tablet feature. A phone has to be a standard phone and a tablet has to be a standard tablet. Better have a convenient iphone 13 and additionally separate tablet if required. Anyways, nowadays we all carry tabs and laptops additionally always.

Pixel Fold may arrive by the end of the month so the Fold3 will no doubt be heavily discounted by then? Also, Xiaomi and Honor have folding phones coming and the Honor Flip will have pen support and flagship cameras. Bravo for Samsung for bring the first, but I am not sure they will be the best and TBH I feel that both Flip and Fold are poor designs that really would not exist if other OEMs were in the game. I think in a year’s time we will be looking at Fold3 selling for $300 on eBay and far better choices that make you question the hyperbole that arrived for Samsung foldable’s. As for comparison with the iPhone, let us be honest, the iPhone beats it in every department apart from the extra display. But what you save means you can buy an iPad or Tab S7 to have that ability. Samsung needs a new drawing board and hopefully some good engineers to solve the issues with the Fold design!

First off - just because another competitor is coming out doesn't mean the Fold will get a meaningful discount. Even Fold 2's currently hold a decent amount in the resale market. Just because the Pixel Fold (may) come out doesn't change the fact that for most, Samsung is the biggest name in the foldable space. As for comparing thse flagships - this really is comparing apples to oranges. The people who buy iPhones are not the same people who buy Androids, and the people who buy emerging tech like foldables aren't the people who are also looking at current flagships. I am excited to see the foldable space expand with new players and once it hits the midrange with a certain promise of durability, is when it'll actually start entering the mainstream

Gross, big KZbinrs were literally paid to say that the pixel was great, for years and undisclosed of the sponsorship, when you look at actual user reviews most people say that there's end up being slow after a little bit because they don't include that much RAM, the camera looks really good, but at the same time who fucking cares, every phone since like the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 has had a great camera lmao, the ugly bezels, the subparse screen, the terrible battery life, the only thing that has going for it is that it's a cleaner version of Android but you can just get a launcher on a Samsung or another Android brand or something, I had a pixel 4 and my Note 8 performed better than it, pixels feel like mid-range phones after like 2 months, I really hate that people were tricked into buying them because everybody unanimously said that they were good in their reviews

I agree that Apple used to be innovator but now they love playing it safe however every time they decide to implement something they make sure it’s perfect unlike Samsung who puts stuff just to make it look cool on ads. Can’t talk about Android on phones as I am using iPhone since iPhone 6 but I do remember how much I hated Samsung UI in my note 2 because they implemented useless gimmicks which did not work properly (like split screen). Fold seems really nice but again it still seems like an imperfect gimmick. By the time it actually becomes reliable I guarantee Apple will implement it in a great (and expensive) shape. I’m Apple fanboy because iPhones are reliable. My note 2 bricked after 3 years while my XS max is still working perfectly after 3 years. That’s why I love Apple. On tablets on the other hand no way in hell can iPad pros be better then Tab S7
