Personally, as someone who's been using my D3400 for a while now, it takes better shots than my iphone 13 pro about 9 times out of 10. Sure, sometimes it requires post-processing and editing, but the iphone 13 pro does that anyway, just automatically as you take it.

Nice Video - in good light conditions the DSLR outperforms the iPhone all the time (at range anyway). Try the comparison with an 35mm f 1.8 prime lens at the Nikon (for me it was THE gamechanger). For video content the iPhone is probably the better choice on many occasions. My is a 13PMax and a D5300.

iphone IS good I like it straight up, but it comes down to megapixels and the sensor size in the end, my canon M3 and M6 blow doors on it when you blow the picture up even 5x you can see the iphone image degrade quickly.

Great Video. I have a D7000 and an iPhone 13 Pro. On a recent trip to a National Park, I noticed that, for the most part, my iPhone pictures turned out better than the D7000 shots. For my National park trip I'm thinking it might not be worth taking my Nikon and the associated lenses.

That shouldn't be the case, the D7000 is objectively better than the iphone 13 pro in almost every case, even my low end coolpix took better photos than my iphone 13 pro. I'm hoping you didn't shoot in auto. DSLR photos will turn out better almost always, by a mile, you need to make sure you have the right settings, and a good quality lens. Lenses basically do most of the work aslong as you have a decent sensor, if you cheaped out on a lens that might be why.

500 bucks? Yes correct D3400, eos m100 or Sl1, 5d2, plus 24 or 40mil and also microphone plus monopod plus camera flash or Rgb (Using kit lens on camera its a pure joke for comparing with 2022 flagmans against old plastic lens) But video is great. Hope for luck

This is hilarious, I had to explain my friend who sent me this link in the middle of the night why no phone camera EVER will surpass a dSLR camera, any dSLR camera because they're simple built for different purposes. First of all, I'm sorry but not sorry, you obviously are not a photographer and photography is not pointing your camera and clicking. Alright let's get going from here, you're comparing apples to oranges and low-key slamming the orange for not being green and shiny. A mobile phone camera is 66% software, the remaining 33% is a tiny sensor capturing whatever light it can then the algorithm does its best to give you a decent photograph in most situations and smartphone cameras have come a long way, not gonna deny, for daily use, nothing really beats an iPhone camera. However like I said apples and oranges mate, you're comparing a software optimized photo to an unoptimized, unedited, a very poor shot. You need to use bracketing, you need to make sure you focused properly before taking a photo and don't compare them like an absolute newbie, you need to use Lightroom or Photoshop to merge, align, convert to HDR, color grade the photos or videos. Once you done those or at least are able to do those with enough experience and knowledge, no smartphone can ever surpass a dSLR. You obviously didn't, you don't know what I'm talking about even or you wouldn't have made this video. What you have achieved here is that you successfully compared a complete beginner's experience with a starter dSLR camera with a terrible kit lens and an optimized smartphone camera and people who buy SLR cameras are either photographers or enthusiasts, not instagram models or self-proclaimed KZbinrs. I am a photographer, started in early 2000s, digital cameras were just coming out back then so it's safe to say I know what I'm talking about. I also have an iPhone, 12 pro to be exact and I use that almost all the time, really cool device and what you can get out of it but I'd never use it for a product shoot because I'm not a know-it-all beginner, I'm at best a slightly above average photographer who knows how to use their tools. Please do research before making a misdirecting video like this the next time so people don't expect crunchy, shiny, green oranges.

I'm not a photographer but I think that the comparasion still being useful for those ones who think that just with buying a dslr camera will have better photographs with no or poor edition and are searching for a device with that idea in their minds. Its a comparision for non photographers and is helpful to avoid that mistake. I agree in some things of what u said but I think that your comment was kinda violent and egocentric, just because the guy didnt do it as you think it has to, if you do it more friendly it would be better. Anyway your comment still being very usefull for people like me who want to start at photography and are searching for an dslr camera experience and needs to have more information from a pro.
