⁠@@UzumakiPain.I’m going to strongly disagree with you there because every S series Galaxy I’ve owned (S10, S21, S22) had terrible out of box white balance calibration. Every single display was either too cool or too warm and needed adjustment out of box. Mind you I’m a video editor who works on accurately calibrated IPS panels all day.

I used Samsung and Android for many years, and last year I switched to the iPhone 14 pro, my first iPhone. After the "honeymoon" period I really started to feel limited on the iPhone. Simple things like wanting to edit a word, on Android I could click exactly where I want to and the iPhone makes it only possible to tap in front or behind the word, and then I have to drag my finger to the part of the word I want to edit. It’s gotten to the point where I think the iPhone has let me down in so many ways. The cameras are the only redeeming element about the iPhone but I really miss my Samsung customizable experience. I’ll be trading in my phone to get the 23 Ultra because I loved using the Note 8 back in the day.

That's why I'll never use an iPhone, so limited for my type of use, and the spen is important for work, rarely use pen and paper this days having an S22 Ultra, solid cameras, solid performance, solid, experience, endless possibilities, same psp, ps2 and pc games on it via emulation, make the phone look and feel like " you ", not like apple wants you to do.

With apple it’s just understanding how to do things then they come easy and simple. Holding space bar and dragging works super well to get where you need to be. Took me awhile to adjust to apples software after I switched over from an S20 Ultra

2 great phones with a lot of qualities but Samsung feat Qualcomm delivered an amazing S23. Better than 14 Pro Max. Itself, S23 Ultra is a smartphone and a computer. No weak points. Just the best Samsung ever. Maybe 15 Pro Max will be better, we'll see. 13 Pro Max was amazing to with a efficient A15 before iOS 16 came out. The only problem are fanboys. FYI, they don't need s24 ultra to improve the animation it requires software, and hopefully, by the time we get to one ui 6 stable release, the animations will become pixel smoothness, sometimes samsung makes there animations looks too fast but not quite as smooth but it's just a nit pick it's not a noticeable differences, one ui 4 heck ya the animation lag was noticeable now it's not and it's very occasional

Exactly this. Animations can make a world of a difference. IMO the biggest problem in Samsung's UI is animation of opening a minimized aplication. In most cases the animation has a solid white background and it's just so jarring. It looks like the phone cold boots each app every time makes the animation on Samsung feel laggy and inconsistant.

@greggski3710 that was back in one ui 4.1. Now it's not gone it is still there, but it's very subtle it's a nit pick thing now. Samsung needs to make their animation ever so slightly Smoother, apple animations are more flat and smooth, and samsungs animations are faster, but has that weird bounce, which makes it very slightly weird. Google is still the king of animation, but in real life, it's hard to tell which has better animation. When you put all 3 side by side apple and Samsung animations, it seems more similar compared to google, while Google has better animation. Samsung has a better performance than google meawhile Apple and Samsung are neck and neck and apple is very slightly better in animations and performance than samsung, even apple could improve there animations, they could make it a bit faster as well as retaining the same smoothness. Apple needs to improve the animation speed, samsung needs to remove the weird bounce and make it smooth and flater and a but more consistent while while Google needs to improve the performance, the tensor G2 chip does cause alot of heat but it's more than powerful enough honestly and in the heaviest task you can't even utilize the 8 gen 2 power google needs to optimize their material u a bit more. ios has the best polish, one ui is the fastest while material u has the best animation.

The problem with apple is sustained performance in regions where the ambient temperatures are higher. If you do demanding tasks on apple in these temperatures the phone just becomes a hot stove top,dimming the display and send out warnings never had the issue with my S23 ultra !!

If you want the Samsung customization try a galaxy phone with Samsung trade in, but don't send your trade in fast, try out the Samsung device and if you find it isn't for you, simply return your device for a refund and keep your iPhone, then upgrade to the next iPhone.

You should do a 30 munute ganing test on a demanding game like asphalt. You will be shocked to see what happens to the iphone after 15 to 20min. Samsung whoops on apple with ling term or long session gaming. Its not even funny. Also yes the iphone can get brighter but it goes down way faster. Also samsungs colors still stay brighter it has more color volume which imo is more important then just straight brightness with white sub pixel dilution. This is where samsung has way more expereince with oled screens knowing the brighter they get the more white sub pixel dilution happens. So samsung allows for the colors to be brighter to reduce that look.

@river6159 no it isn't lol that's been pretty much proven now. Maybe when it first came out when samsung wasn't optimized but now it's optimized and as you see it opens most apps as fast if not faster and it plays each game better and it also scrolls much much faster. Also a cool trick with samsungs if you change it to the buttons on the bottom instead of sliding the apps open and closed. It actually opens and closes apps even faster and smoother. Just most dont use the old school samsung layout. Me I do because it just feels more fluid. So I can't imagine tests if people would use that. I don't really use the slide option. But everyone on youtube does.

@@dillonbanks609s22 and s23 was kinda a big differense. And i do think 15 will be a big upgrade in terms of battery chip buildt camera. But we will have to see. 14 models are 1 year old and was a small update from the 13s. I think it will be a bigger upgrade this year.

@vikinnorway6725 I didn't see the difference BTW the s22 ultra and s23 ultra minus the better battery & cooling. I feel like you cab only update a phone so much and we've reach pretty much the max. You got a new chip every year so there's only so much you can do in a year cycle. I guess we'll see in September with the iPhones

Apple lost their big advantage in the software in my opinion. Samsung worked on it year for year and I would say they got almost IOS level. While they did that, they still didn't lose their creativity and brought devices like the Fold and Flip. Apple got so slow on design changes and new products.

I didnt pay attention to the 256gb s23u only having 8gb of ram and its very noticeable compared to my s22ultra that had 12gb of ram. If im listening to youtube music and open my camera app it'll shut down the music app. It doesnt want to hold more than 3 apps in ram before totally refreshing the rest of the apps. Its a very big inconvenience especially when you're on a page searching something and need to exit & come back to it. I have to start all over. You would think with the most efficient ram & 8gb of memory it could take these tasks on just as well as the s22u with 12gb but that's all a gimmick to me as well (faster more efficient ram than previous versions). If apple used 12gb of ram it would hold 90 apps open in storage without having to refresh any apps. I'm a diehard samsung fan but apple gets it right with half the ram. Idk. I have mixed feelings about the direction Samsung has been heading with the new guy in charge. We're paying top dollar for an "Ultra phone" that's not ultra in every aspect of the phone.

That wasn't a crash. When you change certain settings like the ones he did, the apps have to restart. Most settings changes do not restart apps. Only specific ones. Most comparison videos I have seen point out that unlike past Galaxy phones, the S23 Ultra does not have any performance hiccups.
