Why do photographers buy a camera for $5000 if they can buy a phone for only $1400 that gives pictures with the same qualité of professional camera ????? The answer is that 90% of what a professional camera does and a professional photographer needs, the phone cannot do. Like a $100,000 sports car and a multi-million dollar Formula One car. also as an amateur photographer myself I could tell just by how flat and natural the images were that it was the dslr. Phones have a lot of post processing where the aim is to get the best possible image with little to no effort. @ESKATEUK2 жыл бұрын
@@zerocool2727 it doesn’t matter. Mega pixel count is one of 50 things that make a camera good. If only the mega pixels mattered, then the Samsung camera would be better than any DSLR camera currently on the market. When the truth is an old DSLR with 22mp like my 5D mkiii, would absolutely blow the Samsung camera out of the water, let alone a new camera like an eos r5 with 45mp. The 108mp is purely a gimmick, and the amount of megapixels actually visible is completely based on the quality of the lens used, so to get the full 45mp out of an eos r5, you’d need a good lens. With a cheap lens it may only get 30mp. The lens and sensor on the Samsung is so small and low quality in comparison to a DSLR, that you would be lucky to be getting a visible 15mp out of that “108mp” sensor. If you want to test this yourself, use an old DSLR camera, like a 70D with a decent lens, then compare it to the 108mp camera on the Samsung, zoom in on both comparable pictures and see how much better the image looks on the DSLR in comparison to the phone, even though the mega pixel count is technically lower. The iPhones 48mp raw picture is the best I have seen on a mobile device, and the closest I’ve seen to a DSLR camera.

For me personally it was quite easy to spot the R6 because I'm using it myself. But for the general rule of thumb the Canon (or any DSLM) is just way more timid and gives you more options in post while the iPhone (or any smartphone that is) has lots of software features to guess the best picture for you (and actually does a good job with it). Most of the time the picture than is TOO saturated or has too much dynamic range and therefore loses contrast. Oh well. Both have their purposes. On a side note. You could get a superb dslm setup well within the price range of the iPhone. The 5k is mostly for the last 2% and some niche functionalities... Never forget that.

The main thing is understanding what the camera is capable of. The smartphone camera is not a large sensor camera, and it probably never will be. With that in mind, you can take great shots with a deeper focal plane, and a wide field of view. I find it good to practice my composition with all the limitations a phone has, compared to a “real” camera. Also, a little bit of editing goes a long way. So stop debating and make good shots with any camera you have in your hands. A good photo is a good photo even if it’s taken with a phone. Great video by the way! 🎉

But the interesting thing that I saw in this video was the very small difference and in some places the iPhone was better, such as the photography at night, which shows how effective the processing algorithms are and how much they have improved. In addition, I hope and think that the companies that produce professional cameras should also work on additional processing algorithms because, for example, in night photography, it is not important to have a large and high-quality lens or sensor, but the combination of several photos with complex algorithms that causes This is an amazing result.

Your comparisonin not accurate or right... In order to get the right results and compare them between each camera you have to do the next things: 1. to get same lenses on both cameras: - Max F / Min F Identical to both lenses. - Identical Zoom to both lenses. 2. Shoot in RAW only and compare the Auto mode in Camera Raw. 3. Both cameras have different size of Sensors. You have to calculate the LIGHT STOPS compensations between both of them. For example FF vs 4/3 is 2 times compensation, if all parameters identical besides the Shutter Speed - One camera will have 1/1000 and the other will have 1/500 (big sensor = more sensitive). FF = 24x36mm / IPhone 14 pro max sensor = 1.28 so I believe it is around x7 or x8. Make a new video with al the right calculations, shooting on the right formats & on manual and then make a new video for us. Good Luck

I got the Iphone 14 pro after Having the Samsung S8 for 5 years, and i was so impressed when i got my S8 and still am to this day, it took amazing pictures. But oh man, this phone right here.... i dont know where to start. Yes it costed me a kidney and a leg, but holy moly the shots are unreal. I havent been able to explore much yet, but the pictures that i did take looked abnormal. I was thinking about buying a cheap DSLR to take some cool photos besides my phone, but i just cant wrap my head around the quality this phone produces. And the low light performance looks unreal, it just sees what i see, and maybe even better lol. Not an Apple fan or fanboy, but props to the 14 Pro, which is basically a camera that makes phone calls.

When I got my iPhone 13 PM I first thought I had a faulty camera given the absolute horrendous quality of the photos. Any kind of indoor photos were worse than my old Pixel 2 XL. As soon as I got outside during sunny days , I saw that the iPhone was able to take good photos, but only when it is really bright outside (oc given the sensor size). That’s why all reviews happen outside. All of my children’s snapshots at home look like blurry oversharpened watercolor pictures with horrendous skin tones. This is also due to the iPhone 13 applying really weird hdr and other processing. I did some research and I found numerous threads about the exact same issue. I now use my R6 more than ever at home.

Yep you notice all these "influencers" that make these click bait videos always test the two in ideal conditions for the phone. I want someone to do low light tests, fast moving things tests, etc. Nope, let's try and rig it to make the cell phone look like it's remotely close.

I’m Christiaan, from South Africa 🇿🇦. An airline pilot by trade and have recently rediscovered my interest for photography. Love your honest opinion and open minded reviews and the overall feel of your channel. Keep up the great work. May I kindly ask for your advise please, I would like to start posting photos of my flying trips, from the flight deck, to outside the aircraft as well as around the airport and landscapes from the different regions I visits. A cellphone camera I feel is too limiting and a full DSLR is too big, also I want to start a blog and post photos and then sell copies of the photos. So quality is important and size for prints. I realize this is a steep order and request. What type of compact / travel camera would you recommend? Between canon and say Fuji? Then potentially only one lens as my first priority is the responsibility of the crew, passengers, the aircraft and safety of the environment so I don’t want to changes lenses etc. 18-55? Might be bulky… Thank you for your time in reading my email, I look forward to your feedback and suggestions. Blessed regards

I’d chose the Canon in every single scenario. The photos looks so natural it’s like you are there where the iPhone still are just that. That being said, the portability, comfort, multiple cameras…yeah, the days of me carrying a mirrorless are over.

There is absolutely no natural photo coming from canon xD Your eye sees if hdr but canon dont

I'm just back from London and Paris. I brought my iPhone 12 Pro and a Canon M6II with several lenses. I never used the Canon as the iPhone was just too convenient. Yes, the images are over-sharpened and over-saturated, but they still look nice and will be just fine for Facebook and a scrapbook that I'll put together after the trip. It was just too much work to drag out my camera when I could reach in my pocket and take a few shots and put my phone away. I had many positive comments about how good the photos looked, but that is more about composition and understanding light. Is the iPhone an R6 killer? No, of course not, but it is likely good enough for many simple tasks.
@jade713012 жыл бұрын
Is it just me or do you find the colours to be off compared to the canon camera. However the attention to detail is great and good enough for when out and about without your camera gear or when travelling just to make memories. Also the fact it now supports Raw makes me happy. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it. :)

I saw the video you published, very beautiful. The photos were also taken very nicely. But as an experienced photographer, I can distinguish within a second the difference between the photography of the canon r6 and the iphone camera. I'm sorry, but the quality of the canon r6 is much higher than any photo taken with a mobile phone (so far).
