Thank you for this , recently my 14pros screen went white after a little tumble it took . The screen touch still works I’m able to unlock it if I know where the buttons are but the screen is still white. Some say maybe its connection became undone or something along those lines. Could be defective screen. I do know the 3 minute boot sometimes could be a board issue. You would want to run 3utools and check the crash reports fast if it is CPU error then your phone has the 3 minute boot which is a board issue I’m not sure what the fix actually is for that it’s beyond me

What screwdrivers set you got ? And why did you place the blue film material inside ( then remove it ) ?

I would have to look up the brand of driver I can't remember what ones they are. The blue film has adhesive on the edges that you stick back down so the screen is waterproofed also won't fall off or cause dust to get into the phone making the camera dirty or blurry.

@@RedMissileGaming It does worry me. I would take off the back honestly and unplug the battery to be safe. I have done it the other way though by mistake turned it on during repair and didn't notice until the screen was connected and not working so I had to do a force restart and it worked.

@@LowOnFiberStudios if that doesn’t fix it take off back and reseat the battery connection. Then if that isn’t working try old screen if it works it for sure is a defective screen but if it is beyond the chance of working I’d still wager in that your part might be defective.

I got my screen replaced at a repair shop about 5 months ago. My face ID didn't work anymore, my sound was going in and out for weeks, my phone started overheating and moving slow even when not on the charger, I started getting black ink spots in the screen and it now has completely blacked out. It's so stressful!!

I greatly apologize I missed this comment but no it should work unless the camera or proximity sensor is damaged but I think the iPhone 15 the proximity sensor no longer removes Face ID if changed out or broken

I shut down the phone and actually rebooted phone with force restart and it worked. But if you can't get it to shut off I actually have done it without unplugging battery and did force restart and took my hands off buttons before the screen lit up again and it stayed off and did a force restart and it worked with new screen. Most the time I unplug battery 1st but from what I learned on ifixit they do not unplug battery on there guide for this phone

Is there something I need to solder from old proximity sensor to new one? I’ve seen other videos where they solder the chip over to new one but this iphone 14 doesn’t have that.
