The phone also has a maximum input power of 30 watts so it will still draw up to 30 watts when charging if you’re using it while charging. That’s also an upgrade over the previous IPhones as the iPhone 14s were tied to lightning’s maximum power input which is 20 watts.

It's ridiculous that a €1240 phone (about £1065 or $1360) doesn't do fast charging in 2023/2024. Back in 2019 there were smartphones with 25W fast charging that were €200-250.

since the 13 pro, iphones technically support 27 watts... however apple did a bad job at implementing fast charging, so depending on the batttery heat/random conditions it only can reach this maximum (if it does at all) for a very short period of time.. so realistically it varies, and nobody knows why.. which is why apple only advertises 20watt fast charging..

2:31 that’s interesting, using my usb c cables I recently got (240w) and MacBook Pro 140w charger (it was available so why not lol), I managed to get exactly 80% charged in 40% from 0% flat. Try the test again with 240w cables, maybe they have a lower resistance and the system in question has changed? I don’t know about commenters here but 40 minutes and 80% is perfect, considering my iPhone lasts two days for me easily with that charge. Android phones with twice the battery last 10h tops. Edit: almost forgot, my iPhone 15’s battery health is still 100%, I’ve been using it for 6.5 months now.

I just finished doing the test with my iphone 15 pro and it took exactly 1 hour and 27 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%. I used a 30watt charger

Yes, original one. Just more watts than a regular one. I think standard is 20 watts. Now phones don’t even come with a charger on the box… (I know…shitty).
