@@wekaweka402 - My 12pm battery health aged pretty well over the three years that I had it. It was still in the 80's when I traded it in. I would say that if the 12pm had a new battery, it would equal the 15pm in terms of time between charges.

I think it's still a good idea to switch manually to portrait when you know you want a portrait photo, cause I noticed a few times where it didnt save the depth info when I took a normal photo, even though there was a face there and it also registered the face, but when I went to check and edit the photo after that data was not saved so I had to retake the photo.

I have to agree. We are on a trip to the grand canyons and the shots on Raw are absolutely breath taking. Seeing that 48mp shot and even standards 24 on the main sensor is incredible. Haven’t noticed any heat issues other than charging in the car, but overall great performance compared to my 14Pro Max.

I’d stick with the 15 PM if you can comfortably get one. I have no regrets on the upgrade. I’ve hade the 12 PM, 13PM and 14 PM and they have mostly been worthwhile upgrades. The 15PM seems like it’s a refined version of them all.

Kind of a minor thing I dont hear anyone else talk about. Coming from the 13pro to the 15pm, the flashlight is significantly more bright and focused than before. I use my flashlight a lot walking my dogs at night and with the 15pm I can shine it all the way up 100ft trees and see clearly whereas my 13p it just dispersed the light in front of me and I couldnt see very far.

You likely won't see a difference as at the end of the day, it's an iPhone. Same old boring ios. You'll be done playing with the action in about a week or two of usage. The rest you wouldn't be able to tell a difference apart from the dynamic island. More intrusive to be honest than useful. If you really want to upgrade, the only phone that would be an upgrade is the s23 ultra

Last week I tested cellular speed with my 15 Pro. Standing about 500’ from a 5G Ultra Wide cell tower with a clear line of sight, I got 1411 Mbps down and 145 Mbps up. That beats a hardwired fiber connection. But if I blocked the line of sight, downloads dropped to around 200Mbps.

yes, please compare with older models. I have a 12 Pro and usually I change my iPhone each 3 years, but I still feel very satisfied with my current phone and I don't see need to change for a 15 Pro. The battery is a problem, but I got used to always charge on my car or having an extra battery... and performance is still good. I understand the improvements on cameras, but the 12 Pro actually takes nice photos.

With it's larger apertures, the 13 pro max actually does a bit better photographically in certain situations. There are many small improvements with the 15Max that add up, but unless you need USB-C; You might be good for awhile with the 13. I upgraded from the 12MAX. I didn't feel that it was particularly outdated, but I wanted USB-C. Having used the 15 for a few days, I am noticing the subtle improvements more, but it's not life changing.

The 15 is definately heavier and thicker than the 6s, but I look past that because of the Mag safe and usb. The battery life is incredible! I do still use my 6 when the 15 is charging and for some pictures for youtube, etc. I specifically wanted the usb-c, but if that doesn't matter to you then I can see the case for a 14 PM. I also upgraded my memory for videos and pictures - I was constantly at the edge.. Good luck in whatever you decide - i don't think you can go wrong with either.... 😀

I love my 14 pro max in every way. The camera updates of the 15 Pro have no meaning to me. 19 grams of weight reduction is just plain silly to even mention. I use the mute switch for just that and have shortcuts on the lock screen for flash light and camera,. Since I paid a lot last year for the AirPods Pro2, which I love, I would have to carry two cords if I got the 15 pro. Also, the steel frame and flat screen makes the 14 Pro much more durable. So why pay all that extra money for and "upgrade"?

Sincerely, the only interesting thing that I wasn't expecting is the reversed wired charging (which by the way, I'm planning on using it in a weird combination as a power bank for the new quest 3(and vision pro), although it would be great if they could interact themselves, but I don't think so), and all the uses on the usb c port, I also really feel the difference in speed for editing videos, and having several apps opened, but as for the next, it heats more, the camera I still can't see any difference, maybe only if one uses full pro raw will have a real difference will be worthy upgrading from a 14 pro to a 15 pro. I upgraded from my 13 Pro to the 15 Pro Max. And absolutely, the new body design is great, definitely doesn’t dig into your hand nearly as bad. And yes! I’m glad someone else mentioned the speaker quality. As for the widely touted, thermal issues with the phone… I noticed it does get warm when performing heavy duty tasks, but I guess thankfully I’m not getting the “random” thermal spikes that others are reporting.

And for those who got 12/13 Pro they are probably curious about how much "better" 15 Pro is: should they buy 15 Pro or wait 12 more months for 16 Pro? I like these 14 vs 15, we need these videos and MaxTech deliver! That's great! But we need some comparisons also between a model that most people can relate to. It will be interesting to see blind camera test between 15 promax 14 promax and 12 promax 15pm vs 14pm to see year to year improvement And include 12pm since i think most people are upgrading to 15pm from this phone.

The comfort really is a thing. I came from a 12 Pro. I prefer to take the case off around the house, but I stopped doing it with the 12 because the sharp edges are not comfortable and it’s slipper. I find the 15 Pro to the best more comfortable to hold and less slippery. So I’m leaving the case off at home in general.

Watching with my Iphone 15 ProMax. coming from 12 pro max, it's a life changer! plus the camera's raw max is great. I don't really care much on the color because I can always edit it just on the phone's photos which is amazing (on other apps like lightroom if needed) Battery life: lasts me a day I only charge it once per day (will depend on your usage but with my 12 promax I've been charging 2-3 times a day) great review!

I have had two 14pm one being a replacement and both are horrible. The battery overheating. Not recieving phone calls or text messages. Both sluggish and bad at connecting to WiFi. Hopefully the 15pm will be better

I am very surprised that no youtuber has mentioned that the stuttering from filming 4k 60 on iPhone 14 pro is now gone with the 15 pro, I am guessing it is because of the faster chip but I am glad its gone because the stuttering was extremely envying. But I still dont know how I can play back prores from my nas on apple tv or on my PC. Tried VCL but it doesn't like prores at all.

Hello, you always compare photos from different smartphones very well. I then noticed with my iPhone 15 Pro Max that the pictures look significantly better on an XDR display and the Photos app on the Mac because HDR is switched on. Do smartphones from Google, Samsung or other companies have this too? When I look at the pictures without HDR, the pictures are significantly worse. A comparison would be nice. I've noticed on my iPhone 15 Pro Max that my WiFi connection to 5GHZ sometimes drops and then it flips onto 5G this is kinda weird because everything else in the household is connected to the 5GHZ are working fine...

Regarding Wifi. I came from iPhone 13 pro to 15 pro max. And i'm seeing huge improvement. Wifi in 13 pro gave me 750mbps with Wifi 6 router. while 15 pro max gave me 930 mbps.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I just love it. It has 10 hours of battery life all the way up to 14 hours of battery life. It has a really good camera. really good for gaming and I think you should buy it if you’re in a $1500 budget range. The only con to having a iPhone 15 Pro. Max is the overheating problem but that’s about it.. So have fun your gaming beast

I’ve just upgraded to a 14 pro max from a 12 and the difference is incredible! Feels like a completely different phone and a huge upgrade. Went from getting 3-6 hours out of a charge, to a day and a half minimum. The volume is only on 50% compared to full whack on the 12

I might question if I am phone addicted, if I can use up the battery. Seems like it depends on the lifestyle of the person. I dont play games on a phone, send some messages, take a quick photo which will get compressed anyway on social media. And look something up on the internet outdoor. hello.. I need some advise as a new user for Iphone, should I buy 15 pro or 14 pro is enough? I'm attracted to 15 pro feature but worry about the body durability. makes me consider to buy 14/13 pro. I'm a bit worry on the drop test of 15 (seems so fragile) because I'm so clumsy and tend to drop my phone many time. my samsung A73 has survived all the "drop test" I've made since last year. The main 48mp camera is NOT new/different than on 14 Pro Max. They are identical in hardware. Apple says it’s “larger” but only by comparison to 14/14 Plus which are smaller than both 15 Pros and 14 Pros

I don’t think so as I went from a 64GB iPhone XR to a 512GB iPhone 12 Pro Max and my XR would often get hot even when it ran something simple compared to my 12 Pro Max it barely gets hot

The battery tests aren’t really realistic compared to older models unless you’re using a brand new 14 pro max to test it against.

Just off the fact it’s a complete beauty of a phone I rather keep my gold 14 Pro Max over the 15 without a doubt. It’s kinda embarrassing even looking at Apples side by side comparison on their own site and maybe finding 6 new things in total which a few sound made up like by going up a single digit they’re making it sound sooo advanced. A17 sounds better than A16 cause the numbers higher plain and simple. (Although A16s Bionic chip sounds way cooler than the new a17 “pro chip”) But realistically we all know if they would have to be technical about it, instead of A17 it would be titled like a minor iOS update and be labeled A16.7. But my whole point is I only rather have my phone because it’s better looking. If the iPhone 15 Pro Max had a gold version I’d buy it but the colors are awful. So I rather give up minuscule camera upgrades for a Rick flair Rolex gold phone! WHOOOOOO!!!

Use my iphone 15 pro all day, started at 80% charge, end of day at down to 50%. OOKLA speed test, next to my modem is 1307 MBps for download and 40.7 MBps upload. Normal usage is mostly 1 hours of phone usage, internet surfing. So very happy.
