I’m coming from the 15pm and I actually really enjoy my 16pm. My 15pm would get warm from too much usage and I would have to let it cool down. The 15pm speakers for me were really bad. One of the first things I noticed with my 16pm was how loud it was compared to my old phone! I keep it turned down a little now unlike the full blast I kept the 15pm at.

I wasn't going to upgrade my 14 Pro Max but I just got tired of the size. I went with the 16 Pro. I am quite satisfied. I played with the camera control button for awhile, then disabled it. It's a 'solution for a problem' few had. Personally, I'm done with the huge phones. The battery life of the 16 Pro is excellent but I'm a less than moderate user. When all is said and done, it's an iPhone and it does what I've come to expect from them. Just my opinion but I think we've become spoiled by the plentiful amount of tech that's available to us these days. Many seemed to have lost their sense of wonder at this stuff. I grew up before all this tech came out so my perspective is different form many. That and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. Well, coffee from a convenience store. Nice video as always Jerry!

Almost everybody I know doesn't use the camera control button, it's way too finicky

The main issue is that it didn’t need multiple functions. All it had to be was a button to take the picture. With the multiple functions it’s almost impossible to take a decent picture. I’ve always wanted this button and now I’m back to using the screen take picture button. You can’t touch the damn thing without it changing tone or zoom ,etc.

I have had both. The 16 Pro white is a more icy proper white while the 15 Pro was this off white / eggshell white that I didn’t like.

@@Buddeh23 hmmm. Try the network reset and see if anything changes. That will delete all your saved WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices.

We've been at peak smartphone now for many years at this point other than battery. The one feature people genuinely want to see year over year improvements on. Surprised that Apple are seemingly looking to make an even smaller iPhone next year.

Great video Jerry. I am not a fan of the new camera button either. I usually upgrade yearly, but I am sticking with my 15PM for another year. We may be at peak iPhone hardware, and it will be interesting to see what Apple brings for the iPhone 17 lineup. Hopefully, next year, there will be something to get excited about.

Unfortunately, the recent shipments of the 16 Pros changed screen manufacturers it seems since they all come with subpar displays that turn blue upon the slightest tilt in any direction. Really crazy the media and KZbinrs haven’t picked up on this. Me and my friend have gone thru 6 exchanges and all the units have had the same issue. Even the Apple Store manager noticed and suggested returning and trying again in a few weeks to see if new shipments have fixed the issue. Hideous displays.

Old days was best, when "S" was for the small upgrade and after that a larger/design upgrade came out. For last years just spec bumps and i am Ok with that and that´s why you always have android /Folds on the side for "fun" stuff. :)

I have both the samsung s24 ultra and the 16 pro max. Its crazy how far behind the iphone is! It's as if apple doesn't care at all about thier customers. I joke that I have a smart phone (s24U) and a not so smart phone (iphone) Using the 16 pro max is like using a phone thats 6 years old

​@JerrySchulze it's not only all of the things it can't do that samsung has been able to do for years (the list is huge) but also the things that I have to make 3 and 4 moves to do that I can do with one tap on the samsung. It's as if the samsung is an adult who understands automaticly what I'm trying to do and the iphone is a child that I need to help through every process while holding its hand

@@Starr_unlimitedagree. Android user experience is so much more logical. I can disable a lot of things from privacy settings, to cookies, to notifications, simply by clicking on the app, and then going directly into settings. With iPhone, I have to go into settings and then try to mastermind, where is it that al these features could be? I can access web browser settings directly from the app, I can’t do that with safari. S24Ultra Dex experience is basically portable iMac. Split screen, 5 floating windows that make daily use so much easier. And then there’s that 7 inch Apple tablet that does pretty much not a lot more than iPad mini. But.. camera and speakers are better than anything out there, so is social media compatibility. So it’s either functionality or content creator quality. If I could have both, I honestly would. 😅

Size is perfect specially I feel it’s more sleek. Less weight . Other than that camaras are amazing . I feel it’s an upgrade . Waiting for Apple intelligence

Like any iPhone Pro, this one will perfectly do the job. I would never buy this phone because i refuse to give a free pass to any brand which advertise features and not deliver worldwide, with a truthful calendar ( I live in France so even if I was interested in replacing my 13 Pro, it would be stupid ). People are delusional 1️⃣ about the smartphone market, 2️⃣ about what they can really afford ( there is nothing to be proud being in debt to buy a smartphone through a carrier or in 10 months...) 3️⃣ about reasons to buy a smartphone : a smartphone is not a toy but a tool. 📌Nowadays, unless you don't use your smartphone correctly, any good midrange or flagship can last, at least 4 years without issues.
