I’m a 5 year cycle upgrader. I got the 15 Pro Max last year, upgraded from the 10. The bump was great but not revolutionary for my needs. I think Nikias is right that Apple know many of us do this cos I know a good few Android users converting cos of the 16 Pro.

I totally agree. Battery on the 15PM was atrocious! My battery health was already at 89% after only a year. The 13PM that I had before that took 2 years to get to 89%.

upgrading from 12 pro max that has served me so well (still in spotless condition and fully functional just battery health now 71 % ) , so for me usb c / brighter screen / bigger screen / far better cameras / bigger storage / huge battery bump / Dynamic Island , so for me this is a worthwhile upgrade so depends on what you class as an upgrade !

I dropped my 15 pro max 10 times on different surfaces from about 5 feet up. No cracks at all. There is very small little marks on some of the corners. Very impressed with the quality of the phone.

Depends, if battery became a big issue to the point where you had to charge mid-day, and the phone doesn’t work properly or lags, then I’d say that’s a solid excuse. But if it still works fine, then I suggest you replace the battery & stick with it for one more year

I just shot a small video all on my iPhone 16 Pro Max to showcase the video features (Over on my channel). All I can say is WOW! As a full time Wedding and Concert videographer I am always surprised at what iPhones and many other phones can do these days. Will it ever beat my full frame Sony Camer? No. But it is really nice to have something in my pocket that I know I can create such amazing videos or photos with. It also allows me to just focus on the shot instead of trying to figure out wha lens to use and all my crazy settings on my full frame. Strips it down and allows you to just create a story and not have to take creating so seriously all the time. Great Video!

actually its not the weight making it feels heavy. its only appx 20g heavier than the pro non max. the only explanation is that , its the increased size to your hand that makes it difficult to balance and hence feels heavy.

If you are considering getting the 16 Pro Max, then I am confident to say that it is worth it. Coming from the regular 14 (basically the 13 but with a SLIGHTLY better chip & cameras), I already noticed some pretty significant upgrades, like the 120 hz, always on, better camera, better chip, etc. but if you are coming from an 14 pro or newer, then I say hold off a bit unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Exactly. Especially when you can access the camera from the Lock Screen by swiping, or control center… or the action button. And on screen controls are easier than the new button. That should have been used for something else.

Go watch every other reviewer, starting with Tailosive. It’s a dedicated macro button with an api that is open to all camera apps. Done oasis find that useful, some don’t. I use it and like it as much as I like the action button and since it’s on both the regular and pro models, it’s a nice new feature.

Good video. The Camera Control button is for me, a great open and shutter button and great for zoom. Everything else can be done faster on screen. But still, it’s a really useful button that will become great soon with the Visual Intelligence feature and two stage shutter.

I just got the 16 PM 512 GB in desert, wrapped in a no name $15 (but very surprisingly well made and perfect fitting) slick silicone nude taupe color case. and while it’s not revolutionary it’s still a kick ass phone and it looks slick as hell. And with that sweet iOS tan hued wallpaper (the one in all the advertising) for my lock screen I keep drooling just looking at her… It’s like dating a supermodel I guess. You don’t want to stare, but DAAAYUUM. Sure Apple’s behind sometimes by 2-10 years in the feature dept VS Android, and at over 15 smackers it is probably the most expensive tech gadget the average human will spend, in sometimes YEARS (coming in at a wallet busting 1,533 with tax), BUT I was ready, especially coming from a 2021 Moto Stylus G 5G…AND this is my very first iPhone. So what am I trying to say here. I don’t really know, but the speed of the chips and the camera system is really very good. And I’m already enjoying IOS 18. I guess this phone will only get cooler once we get the full brunt of apple intelligence. Oh, and I’m really digging a true all day battery of heavy use and charging speed is nothing short of fantastic. My 20 watt belkin charger gets this thing from under 10% to 90% in about 50 min or less and I can’t imagine using the 45 watt charger this thing can handle. Add this in with 10,000’s of apps, the myriad of built in gizmo apps, the LIDAR scanner, the deeeeep iOS settings and no wonder phones like these people literally live on, hell I still can’t wrap my head you can actually tap into a satellite. I’m already It’s all pretty sick

No Samsung S24 Ultra is much better the S25 will kill this phone. The new 13 inch M4 I pad pro is just pathatic compared to Samsung's 14 inch tab 10 ultra. Apple could have made a 14 inch or 15 inch I pad at the very least the only thing I can say is nice about apple are their Mac's everything else just sucks now due to their lack of innovation.
