iPhone 16 Pro Max vs Samsung S24 Ultra - Real Life Usage

After 11 years as a dedicated Android user, I recently switched to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I was eager to try iOS and see what the iPhone experience was all about. But to be honest, I’m not impressed. iOS feels extremely limiting in terms of both functionality and speed. The animations are beautiful, but the system just feels slower overall. The keyboard is a disappointment, and the touch sensitivity doesn't measure up to Android’s smooth response. On the bright side, I do like the Dynamic Island feature, and the cameras are decent, though I ran into an issue many might not expect: when taking photos through Snapchat, the resolution is capped at just 2MP, both front and back, resulting in blurry, low-quality images. My Vivo X100, in comparison, captures much higher-resolution photos on Snapchat. The one standout feature, though, is the battery life. It’s honestly incredible. As a heavy user, I used to charge my Vivo X100 twice a day. With this iPhone, even on a single charge capped at 80%, it easily lasts the entire day with 10-15% battery left! I’ve never seen battery life this good on any device before. For now, I’d say the iPhone experience is interesting, especially if you’re new to iOS, but it doesn’t feel worth it for me. I’m already planning to switch to the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra when it’s out. Luckily, iPhones hold their resale value well, so it’ll be easy to sell and make the switch!

I just did this after not using an iphone for 3-4 years. It really hasn't changed much, which is both good and bad. I hate the keyboard and it's clear gboard is not able to be great by design. I didn't "trade" my 24 in yet and I'm having the worst time deciding. I am in the beta with most the AI features now and they are more compelling than Samsung's by far (which interests me) but it's not radically different than just having AI apps. I love iPads but am so-so with Mac. I bought a watch with it but the OnePlus watch with my Galaxy was a better experience. It's sad it feels like ecosystem is the most important consideration. Also, a very android suggestion - DynamicSpot is an amazing dynamic island substitute, it's incredible.

@@guthrien You won’t believe how much I regret buying the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I’ve started appreciating my Vivo X100 like never before, especially in the camera department. When it comes to photos, the X100 clearly outshines the iPhone. I’ll never buy an iPhone again

Just did this but I have 30 days to return the iPhone if I am not feeling it. The keyboard situation and notification are things I can seem to get my head round. It seems Apple just like people to click and tap several times before getting things done. The battery life however is amazing, how do they do it? We’ll see if I keep it but for now I keep testing.

@ You’re lucky! If I were in your place, I would have returned my iPhone. But since I couldn’t, I decided to keep it. The only time I use it is when I go to the gym or leave the house. At home, I use my Vivo X100 for everything because texting and other tasks feel so uncomfortable on the iPhone. The battery life is amazing for two obvious reasons, first, it has the highest battery capacity ever in any iPhone, which is 4685mAh. Second, it’s powered by the A18 Pro chip, which gets more efficient every year.

I have the 24U 1tb, iphone 15pro 512gb .. Both great phones. Now i have buy just for fun the Poco f6 512gb. Its a solid phone but camera and speakers are not so good. But for 347 .- swiss francs it is a very good phone for people who dont want spend 1000$ on smartphones.

I have both phones and realized I can't use one without the other. I love the iPhone for things like social media, Apple Pay and integration with my mac, but I hate the user interface and software, for my s24 ultra i love the back gestures, watching youtube/netflix/etc, they keyboard is better, and Gmail integration is better, and way more customization options, and in terms of look, the iphone looks very boring to me and whenever I hold my s24 ultra I'm constantly reminded how good looking this phone looks and feels

At this point … both phones are the best on the market. Neither Samsung or Apple are paying you to be ride or die for them. They’re both great phones and again the best on the market. If you like the iPhone then you have a great phone if you prefer galaxy then you also have a great phone.

Nice video. What really annoys me is that I have 12 pro max and I pre ordered 16pro max because my 12 has poor battery life. Little did I know that EU is not really getting new phones too quick so I pre ordered my 16 pro max 6 weeks ago and still haven't received it. Apple does not announce their deliveries either so there is a chance that I might not even get my phone this year. (living in Estonia)

@ Ok, thanks! I can wait if needed but instagram x etc make my phone scrolling stuttering like crazy. Nothing helps for fixing it. Also battery is very poor on it. Maybe get the regular iPhone 16 for the 60hz so no 120hz stuttering? Which phone would you upgrade to between regular 16 / 16 pro / 16 pro max / wait for the 17 pro and 17 pro max and get that?

@@oren_katz 60hz is much worse than 120hz and I would suggest you to get the 17 pro max, 16 pro max only if the bugs are very bad. Try resetting the phone completely after backing it up

Just tried the s24 ultra for 10 days and couldn’t do it, went back to iOS. The hardware on the ultra was great but couldn’t deal with the Samsung os. Would be perfect for me to have a S24 ultra with iOS.

I don't understand why ios. Ios is so restrictive, files management is league inferior to samsung and keyboard experience is just so much better on samsung. I just don't see what so great about ios. Notification samsung does it better and you have more option. Controlling volume separately, you can cange codec of audio which ios does not, change speed of the animattion and you can create a secured files that only you can assess it. It seem you don't know how to use samsung

the ios is weird. once i was using iphone as an huawei user. the app is bugged. and we had to restart the phone. ıf this was happens in the an android phone ı just going to settings find the app and click force stop. IOS looks so much better but a lot of things are missed if you use android before. You are gonna get bored while using IOS.

I have both phones, honestly here's where it gets tricky if I only had to have one phone it would be the iPhone however when you use both of these phones day to day the Samsung actually is the better phone the anti-reflective coating charging the multitasking the software is made for that big screen there is practically nothing that takes advantage of the screen size in iOS still in 2024 there's no multitasking
