Traded my 14 pro to a 16. Charging port needed replacing, battery needed replacing and was sick of how heavy it felt. Loving the 16 so far. I miss always on display more than promotion tbh as I used the stand by mode on my charging stand . 16 could be such a good phone with a few minor tweeks such as AOD and promotion

@ battery life on 14 pro is so bad. I’d get the 16 base if you don’t mind 60hz, 16 pro if you can afford it or 15 pro if you want to spend the same as a base 16 but want 120hz

I didn’t get on with the 14 but the 16 range is pretty decent. I still think the 13 Pro offers good value too, if the battery is in good shape

My wife has a 14 pro. I just upgraded from 13 pro to 16 base. She really likes my upgrade but she doesn’t like that there is no weight in the hands which she says makes it feel cheap or fake lol I concur about that statement. Other than missing the lidar sensor and 3rd camera and 120hz from the base 16, they are virtually the same

Bro u really went from 13 pro having with 120hz feel to regular 16 with 60hz? I mean it's not that much bad but bro it's hard to find someone doing this Coz 120 really feels like heaven whatever u say , yeah all other factors are an upgrade but if u could have either gone for 16 pro or 15 pro series or maybe should have waited for 17 coz in that regular would have 120hz display

@amangiri4402 oh most definitely by all means if I had the funds to upgrade to pro series I would have. But my carrier had a good deal going on and my 13 pro ended up going to my dad who had an iPhone 11 and was due for an upgrade. The 120hz doesn’t bug anymore Only when I have it in low power mode

I’ve had the iPhone 14 Pro Max for more than 2 years now and still holds up really well. I upgraded from an iPhone 7 Plus so I’m always grateful lol. I know the battery on it isn’t great compared to the 13 PM or the ones after the 14 Series but it just depends how much of a heavy user you are. It’s fine for me. I don’t plan on getting an upgrade until this phone dies on me but for someone that didn’t have an iPhone with a notch, to jump from an IPhone 7 Plus to a 14 PM felt amazing lol. I don’t get how people actually enjoy upgrading for minor changes. Probably big changes for them but I doubt it lol. Each to their own so it’s all good. Great video though mate.

I found the 14 pro way better with the space black prestigious config, also the promotion make the UX unique. Without forgetting the 3 cameras stylish design and utility. Cannot say the 16 is a good phone just because it's lite-weight and type-C-equipped, even Xioami does.

14 Pro owner since July 2023 here. Apple Intelligence is a gimmick, 60hz is unbearable, 3x camera is sorely missed, no always-on display, feels cheap in the hand, no one has a Vision Pro for spatial photos. 14 Pro all the way. Plus it’s cheaper now, still feels new as well

it’s normal with that phone, it’s been having issues since the start: it’s really good when it’s new, but the battery health drops faster than usual on the 14 lineup (settings > battery > battery health and charging)

@@Jxv_en-f5u i’m going to buy this phone as well, it MAY drop faster than others if you charge it wrongly, but it’s still a great phone to buy. you just need to take good care of it! (so, examples are don’t use it while it charges, don’t make it overheat too much, don’t charge it too many times a day…)

Apple user : the teal color is a main factor to go with the 16 lol From a Tech perspective the 14 pro has the specs and if battery life is a concern maybe adjust the always on display settings to get similar results to the 16. The 14 pro does have faster charging so there's a bonus there. In this day and age 60hz is not acceptable, even a cheap Android phone that has 120hz will feel more snappy despite a horrendous cpu they wouldn't relise that and for the average user would benefit from the Android in cost savings. Apple needs a cheaper line-up with 120hz and downgraded processor as most casual users like grandparents don't utilise the full power of the CPU. Apple would hit a home run if they made the 'casual' phone. A snappy feeling phone to run KZbin, Facebook etc doesn't need the latest a bionic chip. Downgrade the chip and give the ppl 120hz any old CPU from the past 5 years from Apple out performs any cheap Android CPU out there

I have the 14 pro and I’ll be honest the battery life on mine, has served me well. As to upgrading, is it necessary? No it’s not cuz my phone works perfectly fine. The only reason I’d upgrade to the 16, is simply because of Apple Intelligence, and I don’t think that’s valid enough to do so😅🤷🏾‍♀️

I finally upgraded from the 14 pro to the 16 in black. I was tired of the pro model look all the way from the 11. I'm happy with my choice and do not care about the always on display or pro motion 120hz. I have other devices if I need to use that or want either. It's a phone not my everyday do everything. It's a nice change and gets 95% of the pro model this year.

Thank you for the review, but everything you said isn’t logical, hence this is not a good review. You talk about how you like the iPhone 14 Pro so much less but then at the end you said you would pick it. I don’t think the price really matters. If it’s a bad phone then it’s a bad phone.

It’s basically the same phone. Minus refresh rate and price. The iPhone 14 Pro is the better buy. Regardless of how bad the battery was for me. It’s still about the same as the 16. Pro level battery should be better. That was the only thing I didn’t like about the 14 pro. It’s not a bad phone and I don’t think I said it was. It was a bad battery experience.

Claims the battery it rubbish on the 14 pro compared to the 16. But only shows the numbers from the 16 and not the 14 pro? 🤔. If you’re going to make a claim at least give the evidence for both phones and not just one of them. I had a 14 pro before and the phone was wicked. Lasted me a day easily. The weight is something you just get use to and doesn’t even bother you. To many tech channels repeating the same boring gimmick stuff year after year. Everyone knows that by now it’s not worth upgrading your phone form year to year and never has been nor never will be. Salute to Apple getting all this free advertising and sales from these guys. The camera of the iPhone 16 is terrible. I had a 14 Pro Max and an iPhone 15, and then the 16. The 15 was the best, but the iPhone 16 is a disaster. The camera is very noisy, and the photos are black in low light.

Did you? I’m thinking about doing the same. This 14 pro has the worst battery by far than any other iPhone I’ve previously owned. Bought this brand new 2 years ago and the battery has degraded down to 78%. My iPhone 10S Max had 84% battery lifer after 5 years of heavy use. These phones are definitely not worth how much many they ask for them.
