you don't need 10 feet, it broke at my height (6'7). i broke my 5 and 6+ while typing with one hand. they slipped when you use them too long and your hand is sweaty. 6+ is more slippery. funny thing is, i dropped my blackberry curve 9300, 6 times but nothing broke. could it be that the body is rubber so it could ease down the impact?

This has a misconception about sapphire displays. They are extremely scratch resistant but are acctully I think 1.4 times more brittle than glass so sapphire won't be very good for drops.

You should know, that a Saphire display is MUCH more vulnerable for braking and cracking than the Gorilla Glass 3 - it is only a bit(!) more scratch proof (it has NOT the moh 9 of pure crystal sapphire - course of the production technique it is more of a layer with 7,2-7,9 moh > on comparison with 6,9-7,1 moh of Gorilla Glass 3). Concerning that it costs 10x as much as a gorilla glass exemplar it was the only correct decision of Apple.

from all the drop tests i've seen, it's very random with drops, but if you drop this thing on its screen from any height it's going to shatter in every possible place and even come off its frame. time to cover up that pretty aluminum :/

Well, it does depend how you drop it :/ cause if u drop it face down with the iPhone 6 and on its back for the iPhone 6 plus, there is some possibility that it can come either way so it's not accurate enough. And u might've threw it harder for the iPhone 6 than the iPhone 6 plus

Yeah. Any phone facedown is a mess. Doubt it will not crack. I don't care what company you are. I expect nobody to have a phone that perfectly survives a screen slap for another multiple years. But I have seen a 3GS survive a facedown with no cracks or even scratches. However, the facedown was questionable.
