I sincerely thank you, Sir, for the good and pragmatic explanation in the video: It helped me revive my girlfriend's iphone 7 with the very same fault und recover all her data! Especially several GB of holiday pictures are very dear to her and thanks to your video all the pictures are now safe and not a write-off. Thanks again!

For many years, I have learned to trouble shoot electronics in devices and auto chips, but watching a real craftsman at work is so helpful in methods and testing. I so much enjoy your comments and the test methods. Thank you for taking the time to teach me some of your excellent skill. So practical and well done. My regards for a great new year. M.

I discovered this channel after my wife's Galaxy S6 Edge just died. I stoped receiving charge. Took it to a shop thinking it was a dead battery and they said "phone is dead no repair possible!" It doesn't receive any charge, with cable or wireless! If I lived in England I would stop by your shop. I'll try to check if the battery is really dead, because the shop did the hard part, they opened the back!! Very nice channel!

Lol... dodgy people indeed. Last week I fixed a customer tablet. The charging IC was dead and wouldn't charge, and I fixed it. Next day he come back with the table and the "charger" saying it wasn't charging and demanded a fix under warranty. I checked the charger and he was using a wrong charger (9v) on a (5v) circuit. He said he haven't connected any charger on the device and demanded a warranty repair, and I told him the only way for the IC to damage is if he connected a charger to the tablet, and told him he was using the wrong one. I lost all fate in humanity after seeing jerks like that.

This is a Great Video, But Over the past 20 years, I've purchased more than 25 cell phones and 15 tablets and not a one has ever had any issues. The list goes from Nokia, Blackberry, Toshiba and on. In the last 5 years, I've been with Samsung. But in Jan 2018 I finally decided to give Apple a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I got an iPhone 7 Plus along with an iPad Pro 12.9 and they have worked great together. I use them every day. I keep them as must as possible out of direct sunlight, leaving them in a HOT CAR and always buy a Great case to protect them. (Otter Box). I've watched friends and coworkers treat their cell phones and tablets like a child treat an old toy that they don't want anymore. Also, back in 2014, I picked up an iPad Air 2 for the first time as a main On The Go Tablet and have never looked back. So I must be the lucky one. So far.

Julian Gardner-Hobbs When i used to repair c.b radios for people, they would not admit to connecting the power the wrong way to the radio. Yet the fuse was blown (Unless they had put a nail in its place) and the reverse polarity circuit was turned into a black ash mess. It was like trying to get a politition to tell the truth, although that might have been easy in comparison :-D

That cap is definitely gone !!!! Sorin i jest yet again! Honestly though i do love your channel. I have learnt so much from you. I have a genuine question for you??? And i know your answer will be, "it's not needed". But why not replace the cap and if not why was it there in the first place?? Perhaps you could explain in a video or maybe when you address capacitors in your electronic's for beginners video's?? I am subscribed and always like and watch all your video's ;)

the manufacter put all the compenent in their place they dont put any component whithout a reason (it is planning and science more that they try to reduce the cost as well as possible ) and this capacitor is there for many reasons it can be for filtring or more stabulise the potentiel because in the phone there are many ics whitch need a very stabulise vcc or whatever for doing their job perfectly and when we ommit this capacitor it will affect the ic or other component by the time and disorders appear for exemple u can see the ic of network how much it is sensible and so other it's sure and sorry for the english

As a rookie tech just coming into the game, I find it very annoying when these guys dont sort out the screws on their mats. They just put the screws where ever, knowing that each screw is a different size. During my training, they make a big deal on keeping the screws in the right order, because they are all different sizes.
