It’s a decent iPhone in 2025 and is very capable but the fact it’s only supports up to iOS 16 is a problem when it comes to apps continuing to work on it in the later part of 2025.

there are still tons of apps that only require iOS 12 or later. You don't realize just how many people are out there still using older phones it's still a great amount. Many people cannot afford to upgrade to later phones and keep their old ones as long as they can still get security updates, which Apple is good about doing still on their old phones.

@@volodymyrkim5846 my 78-year-old father has been using an iPhone 8 Plus since it was new. He is not technologically savvy and does not care at all about tech. His phone is full of apps he doesn’t use and he never updates unless I do it for him. He’s been completely fine.
