Omg thank you so much it worked !!!! It’s been a month with this problem !!!! I would make calls or they would call me, I couldn’t hear them nor they. I kept searching for a month until I came and found your video a few mins ago. It worked !!! What did it was turning off noise cancellation and turning hearing aids.

i got some blue tack the stuff you can mount poster to the wall. Make it soft and push into the speaker down the bottom and see how much rubbish came out. I also followed your settings as well. thanks for the tips

Thank you for this helpful video. It was neither stuck on headphone mode nor a dirty headphone port . When I changed the settings in accessibility ( noise reduction and hearing aid) that fixed the problem. I am running iOS 13.41 on an iPhone 10R which was the latest update just a few days ago. I'd like to know why this happened....is it an issue with the latest update because it appeared after that; it's never happened to me before on any of the iPhones I have had (this is my third). What effect on phone calls does getting rid of the noise reduction have?

1st tip fixed it. Watched five videos, this was the only one that showed the speaker volume location by swiping up on the screen. Need to do that in addition to the buttons on the side of the phone to get max volume. Thank you

I have got an iPhone 8 at work, and it was giving me the same issue with no sound from earpiece during call. I checked if the earpiece is working or not by moving the sound slider in sound settings, it was ringing so no issues with the actual earpiece. The accessibility option helped me, i turned the noise cancellation off and hearing aid ON and it fixed the software problem. Thank-you so much for the help!!

Nov 7, 2020: I just got myself an iPhone 11 Pro Max. New to me, but it’s used. I had the 7+ & switched to this one. When I’m on a call, I can barely hear the other person. My volume is all the way up & when they talk, it sounds like as if I have the volume halfway or a bit less. I tried what you showed, but idk if I should just go ahead & take it in to get looked at?

Thank you for this video, it helped fix my iPhone XR ! I bought mine from Apple in January 2019. Couple weeks ago I installed the new Apple update and shortly after I noticed this problem. I couldn’t hear the caller on the other end unless I put the call on speaker. I called Apple for help and they told me to send my phone for a repair which would cost me $400!!!!!! The phone is barely 1.5yr old. (Also my battery is going so fast now, I can barely make it half day) Following the instructions from this video helped fix my phone. The hearing aid&noise reduction part worked for me! Thank you!!!

Great info, except I can't proceed. When I pull down the screen from the top, first step, I get a blank page that says, "No Notifications." I go to Settings and do no have Accessibility. Using an iPhone 5.
