Was any body able to pass the apple id screen? Mine is stuck asking for the same that was used for set up.. I even tried to set up using another iphone that has same apple id, but it's still not accepting and goes stuck at apple id screen.. When I logon to icloud, find devices, this old device don't show as linked.. Not sure what's wrong and how to solve it.

I've listened to series of related video, but none of them simplify this process as this, I spent days thinking my phone is unfixable, without knowing my cable only works for charging, and not data transfer, I just bought a new cable shortly after you mentioned it, and guess what, I restored my phone all by my self, at the comfort of my room, u just made me a Tech specialist 😂

It didn’t work for me. I have an iPhone SE and the ipsw program needed to download clearly reads in red font “This firmware is not signed. This means you cannot restore to it in iTunes”. 🥺

I have tried both. Normal restore as well as shift + restore + selected ipsw file on a windows 11 machine, file which was downloaded. In both cases did not understand where the difference lies since both not successful. Both the cases, restore happened, but after restart, same issue, that iphone is stuck at apple id that was used at setup. I am using same apple id but password as of today, because don't remember password of 8 years ago.. Now having reset, phone is still not usable since it's not letting me past apple id screen..

I rarely comment but this video helped me get my old phone working again enough to get the verification text to log into my cell phone providers site and buy a new phone.... when you break your phone you would think the company that sells you the phone and the service each month wouldn't need you to receive a text message but alas, they do.
