Android has this feature but it sucks. You need to have the phone with you to unlock it, and whatever you do on your phone can be seen on the screen. Also, at any time, anyone can just take your unlocked phone.

What I’m hearing is that your brother doesn’t have the motor functions to use a phone but can use peripherals to control a Mac. So if he can control a Mac that can do the same thing why the need for a phone? Again, sorry! Just curious.

@@juliangang2018 He can’t send texts (but can and does use iMessage from his laptop). And he can’t use Instagram fully on their website which is important to him and his following, and also some other features and functions of digital life just work better on an iPhone than a computer. Certain apps are also better on the phone for his particular needs because they’re simplified for touch use (sometimes). There are definitely ways to address most or all of these issues on his Mac without the phone mirroring, but sometimes it’s just helpful and more streamlined to do smartphone-typical things on a smartphone.

I hope you guys get it eventually, although i dont think it will happen soon. Part of why this works so well is because apple has a complete ecosystem. Its designed to work together from the ground up, whereas samsung doesnt really have a standardized or proprietary Computer OS. Im not saying it wont happen, but if it does, theres a chance it wont work as fluidly. Not an android hater, i think theyre a great platform with plenty of benefits and other things they do better than apple.

iMessage now let's you reply with all emojis instead of just the preset, wow so smooth and use friendly and advanced. Every other app let you do that originally. The Motorola and Samsung version of this feature let you drag and drop files and pictures in between phone and PC. With iPhones you have to airdrop and there's STILL no file management. Sooooo smooth and user friendly. This nonsense argument needs to die. You like what you like cause you're used to it.

Actually it's called "Smarphone Link" and is available since 2018 and works quite flawlessly for me. I didn't really use it much because everything I do with my phone is more or less available in my browser as well.

Swiping between home screens with a mouse is terrible. If you accidentally drag an app it starts messing with the app layout so you have to perfectly click and drag between app icons
