That is a major issue to have a problem with your charging port with an iPhone I just got this iPhone 2 or 3 weeks ago new and I'm all ready experiencing charging issues. I've left the Android world just because I was convinced about iPhone. Now I wished I never left Samsung did a way better job with not having any problems with the charging port. Now I see why people say iPhone should consider switching to see type c charging ports and cables I wished I never left Samsung or I could switch to pixel for that matter if I'm going to experience this all the time with my iPhone 13 pro Max

Hi Cindy, sounds like your iPhone is stuck in a boot loop. You may need to do a DFU restore. This will wipe the phone.

I went out and bought a new charger. The thing is all the problems for everyone with the no charge happened right after the recent update. The day before I was using it playing games, looking things up etc it was charging perfectly normally. It will charge up overnight but drains quickly and it shuts itself off and I have been missing important texts. It’s a new ish phone and this is stressing me out. Why doesn’t the company just admit that it made a mistake considering it happened right after the update to so many people and we have to jump through hoops to buy new equipment to get new charger it tries to tell us your batteries, old or dead and it’s not before all this happened. Hellllllpppp 😢 please

I would suggest backing up your iphone and then pay apple for a new battery. Totally worth it. Call AppleCare and they can tell you the cost

iPhone 13 is a piece of shit. Been to the Apple Store twice and they said nothing is wrong with it after they miraculously get it to charge in the back. I will be going Tommorow and requesting a new phone. Trust me it's not the cable either as I've tried multiple and other phones charge just fine. They said it was something clogging the charge port last time but I don't buy it at all considering this has happened three times in the last week. Idk what kind of diagnostics they run in the back but there is definitely something wrong despite them not wanting to admit it

Took my son's phone an older 5SE to get a new battery as the old was not taking a charge. New one worked worked for 2 days and then drained and will not charge. First symptoms were it kept shutting off. Went back to store, they tried another battery out of box and no joy. Pronounced the MB dead - only apple logo comes up and then shuts off. So Paid for nothing as they said they replaced the battery and it is not their fault it turned out to be another issue. Glad it was less than 40.00. I feel bad for him as he has notes on it and other things he does not see in the cloud. He used another iphone with his Sim but he is upset. He dislikes the flush home button on the new model but looks like we are running out of options. I use Android, so I am unsure of Apple fixes. Also not sure what is in his cloud.

Hi Dorothy, that is the worst. I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with all that! What a great mom you are. Have you had a chance to visit an Apple store or call AppleCare? You never know what they can maybe do. Also, as far as your sons notes…sometimes the notes sync to other accounts like a Google account. Is it possible that he has his notes syncing to a Google account? You can check this by logging into another Apple device and then logging into that specific Internet account (the Google account) to see if they populate. Sending you lots of luck!

@@BoyNamedKelly Thank you. I do not think he does anything with Google, but we will check. Its so old, has a replacement battery, so I doubt Apple will even look at it. I managed to get it to boot holding the power and home button so that was nice to see, because up until that it was dead. It said 100% but that was not true and on a reboot it showed 1%. But it will not go above 1% and keeps shutting off. We will try to hook it to PC and see if anything works but I think the DFU is next. I am not sure if that will work, but it is worth a try. I told him to back up but nobody listens ..lol. I have had to recover hard drives for people and they still don't back up! He is not a child so he gets no pass;=)

I may look for a hardware place but not sure. If he could get his notes he would be ok. I may see if the Gmail thing works. Does it remove them from the phone, or just back up?

@@BoyNamedKelly Great news update. I found that the iphone was storing notes on the phone. Switched to the cloud and moved them there as backup was short enough with photos turned off. I initially created a few tests notes and folders and played to verify my theory would hold. IT did give me 3 of each so we made a duplicates folder temporarily - So Notes are saved! Thank you for making me think more about it with gmail etc. That would not work as only new notes go. I also was able to attach iphone to my PC as see the DCIM folder and copy all the images over. So at least they were not all lost. Next up I will research how to move messages( texts). The rebooting and not holding charge only gives me a few minutes to do my thing. I am hoping soon I can do a reset and see if this is really a hardware issue. I'm exhausted ;=)
