I used a toothpick to clean out the port charging area & I was successful in charging my old iPhone 7 Plus asap again thanks to this video. Unfortunately none of that worked for me. I just bought a new iphone se and it won't charge no matter what unless I use the original cable. The other cable I have is in great shape, it's good quality and it charges my old phone and my AirPods just fine! I'm not sure what else I should do

Very helpful. For some reason, wagging/moving around our 1 week old cable (as long as we held it three or 4 inches away from the end) worked. Holding or moving the connector on the end did not. Its as if the internal wiring was improperly soldered to the connector inside the sheathing. Crap cables ugh 🤬
