I want a "thiccc" iPhone version to come out, which is slightly thicker than previous models, with bigger battery life, and to conceal the obstructive cameras. Clean up the backside a bit, something has to be done. Seeing three cameras jut out is ugly. Conceal them in some way and redesign them.

I think the skinny jeans fashion trend in the late 00's early 10's massively helped to market thinner phones as "better". Along with the megapixels for the camera as it replaced your digital camera. Just like now, they're using resolution and frame rate off the back of gamers as "better" to get people to upgrade. For most people, none of these things are worth upgrading for. In reality, if your phone is broken, or not fit for purpose, get a nerw one. If not, why do you need to upgrade?

It has to be the cheap option, SE is the one that will get more kids into the Apple ecosystem, which might tie them in for longer and, importantly, squash the competitions numbers. Kids think iPhones are premium, so give them what they want- early. Keep the battery life, that is the most important keeper on a cheap phone. Good video.

@lakerskid201311 күн бұрын
Some may want smaller screen sizes but definitely not overall thickness being lower. I do think there needs to be some form of a Mini model even if it was something like an SE Mini. In that case you have something smaller like 5.4” and it’s more affordable, maybe not a flagship Mini like the 12 and 13 but it would be better than nothing.
@BobBack8611 күн бұрын
@ indeed. I don’t have much interest in a smaller size. Neither a bigger, I had the Pro Max and besides the battery I didn’t enjoy the phone, was bulky and doesn’t take advantage of the bigger screen. But I totally agree, I heard some people asking about a smaller size. I have some colleagues that loved the mini, so there’s definitely people looking for it. It’s like they want to create a thinner phone just to say that they can do it.
@lakerskid201311 күн бұрын
@@BobBack86 Yeah, it’s almost like a flex in a way. I think a lot of people seem to not realize that there’s those out there with smaller hands who can benefit more from smaller phones. I remember the days where phones used to be smaller and basic/feature phones were in a much greater spotlight than they are today. Looking at my phone collection, I think it is good in a way with phones getting bigger as someone who has average sized hands but there still needs to be some smaller phones made for those kinds of people. Weirdly enough as someone who owns an iPhone 15 and upgraded from an 8 Plus, my 15 actually feels smaller than the 8 Plus did due to the decreased height despite the bigger screen size. My phone feels like it’s still 5.5” and not really the bigger 6.1” like it actually is because of the design for it which I’m completely fine because I wasn’t sure what to anticipate at the time with such a massive upgrade.
@BobBack8610 күн бұрын
@ Yeah, there are lots of people who would prefer a smaller phone. I totally get what you said about the change from the 8 to the 15. I also have the iPhone 15 and due to the thinner screen borders it’s not so big. For my hands it’s a great size. My wife almost went to the 12 mini some years ago, she just got the base 12 due to the battery. That’s my problem with smaller phones, the battery. It’s also my concern about thinner phones. As I said the Pro Max was great for battery life, I had the 13 Pro Max before but besides the battery it was a bad experience. Too heavy, bad to use with one hand, and the iOS UI did not take advantage of it, you have basically the same things but bigger. That’s why I got the 15, much better experience. Nowadays I’m only interested in something like a Foldable phone. Maybe an iPhone that can become something like an iPad Mini when unfolded would be nice, but I don’t think we are going to see this in the next 2 years. And I don’t want to think about the price 🤣
@lakerskid201310 күн бұрын
@ I would love to see a foldable iPhone too and a design that’s something not like in these current foldable/flip phones. I think that there should be a design that resembles the old school flip phones except for the bottom it’s a second touchscreen instead of physical buttons and assuming the hinges are made with very strong and durable materials (which sadly the average flip phone does have those issues sometimes) then that would be the ultimate game changer since there would be no potential for a crease forming in the middle over time since it’s split screen.
