First, sorry for my english. I have the SE since august this year. I bought it because my LG G Flex 2 died after a year. When i was looking for a phone, i take in consideration 2 aspects: Stability and performance. I was on a tight budget and i stopped at this 2 iPhones. I choose SE because 6S was more expensive, i find 3D Touch almost useless ( for me personaly) and 5mpx camera on the front seems to get much more details on photos. 1.2 mpx for selfies it's decent for a front camera. For everything else, i use the back camera to shoot photos (btw these 1.2 mpx on SE are much more better than 2.1 mpx on LG). Performance was the same as 6s. No crashes, no lag and still works like a charm. And small dimensions was a better choice. Being 1.5 inch smaller than my old LG, that means now i can use the phone with one hand without the fear of dropping. It fits more well in the pocket. Anyway, i don't regret my choice. After the dissapointement with LG, the SE it's the most logical and balanced choice for me.

I love the design of the SE, but it doesn't have an HD resolution screen and most apps are now better designed for 4.7 inch screen and above. Can't they just make the iPhone 5 design again but bigger? It's a beautiful phone. Till then, the 6s for sure. I love my 6s. Much better than my 6 was! I still have iOS 10.3.3! 😜

You can find a new SE locked to a carrier (usually pre paid) for dirt cheap. In the US you can get an SE on straighttalk for like $129. On AT&T for $150. They’re also often found on sale for $99. Crazy good deal for that phone.

I have both an Android & iOS device. My Asus is my primary phone, my iPhone 5c is secondary. I use the iPhone for some outstandingly great music applications. Android is catching up on great music apps, but still can't compare to iOS. My iPhone 5c doesn't go beyond iOS 10. Therefore I want to upgrade to a model that's capable of running iOS 11 and soon iOS 12. The SE is cheaper in comparison with the 6s, but a bigger screen is an advantage for me. But 4 inch is still great to work with, so I'm in doubt what to buy. What's more important, at least for me, is the storage capacity. I'd rather have an iPhone SE with 128GB instead of an iPhone 6s with 32GB if the price is roughly the same. I'm gonna do some research regarding this and hopefully I can make a decision.

Nice review and comparison! I've just purchased a refurbished SE off eBay after deciding to dip my toes back into the iOS world. I went the SE route due to its size. I currently use a BlackBerry DTEK60 for day-to-day duty but wanted something smaller for travel and just to mix things up. My original inclination was to pick-up a 6s; however, I found it a little too big for one handed use and it was as slippery as an eel. Given the only differences between the 6s, SE, 7 and 8 are - to me anyway - incremental, I think I made the right decision.

SE, hands down, classic design. As I am not much of a web browser, my SE is largely used as a........phone! So the 4' screen is spot on, never got into the monster screens on the other phones, that is what I have two iPad Pros for (as well as a 15' MacBook Pro and 27' iMac). Ironically as an admitted Apple Fan Boy since 1992, the SE is my first iPhone, hell, it's my first "smartphone" making the move from the old school "dumbphones" last year.

Until iOS 11 fucked the battery life up and now it’s too late to downgrade. I hope they fix this soon cause I only had my 6s since June of this year.

The iPhone SE I personally prefer simply because I enjoy the size of the phone. I love the new size because I have bigger hands, but I do miss the pure one handed usage of the smaller screens. Yeah iOS 11 adds a one handed keyboard and there's reachability with the software, but there is something to be said about the screen having far less to push with a smaller resolution

My personal opinion I think the 6s is better, it has 3D Touch and a better front camera. I used to have the SE and it is most definitely a little beast, the 6s is also better for gaming because the resolution is better 1334x750-pixel vs 1136x640 on the SE. But the 6s wins on another front. It’s display has both dual-domain pixels for wider viewing angles and a 1400 to 1 contrast ratio.

I Have a 4s and I downgraded it to iOS 6.1.3 for performance but later updated to iOS 8.4.1 and i noticed that the camera quality was severely lacking compared to iOS 6. There was a lot of noise in the picture even though I have no scratches on my lens. If you use iOS 7 or newer it may impact your video quality using the 4s

I feel thwy are both really good budget iphones, if there is such a thing. I think it all depends on what your personal needs are. I didn't even like the iPhones and when I went to T-Mobile the Smartphone that purchased from them a few days later crashed on me and I took it right back to them and I kept looking at the iphone se. Well long story short I ended up with the se do the prices of the phones at T-Mobile. The iphone se and I got along and after using it I have to say this is better then the android phones no crazy updates with the iphone Se.
