Honest review if you're a gamer like me don't buy it there's a lot of disadvantages like battery, multi tasking, overheating.

Galaxy S6 was not controversial at all, that phone was phenomenal and much loved. Also very popular since they ditched the plastic/cheap materials. I did remember some people being upset that they could no longer remove the back to replace the battery easily but I rather have a premium look over that any day

Great story and I for one really want the Mini back. Come on Apple.

Something tells me the controversy was part of the marketing and was just as fabricated as the rationale behind the inflated prices of apple products

If you could go back in time. I think the perfect upgrade cycle for your money and what you got at the time would have been something like S4, S8 and S24. These are all great devices really. Most of us say we need to upgrade but realistically you dont and true innovation between upgrade cycles really is minimal and has got much less since the S4 era of phones were released because they were so great. You had 4g, awesome performance and decent cameras even by todays stanards in good light... S8 was a lovely phone with the full screen display... Now we are starting to see AI features, between those cycles there was really no need to upgrade looking back.

I bought it 10 months ago as a used phone and it was totally worth its price. Great performance, great camera and good battery time. I won’t upgrade for years now

Love my iPhone 13 Pro, I was looking to upgrade this year but changed my mind as soon as I heard the 16 pro is bigger. Who wants bigger phones? It’s the opposite, I want a it smaller.

I would love for Apple to make a Mac in the form factor of the older PowerBooks. A proper mechanical keyboard, massive battery and expandability

I know why they didn't, but putting an SSD in the One X would've been incredible.

I've got this device when it was released, many many years ago. The headphones lasted for 2 years, and after I just had to get another pair of headphones for the ipod to continue working. Was pretty neat and minimalistic.

Barely any improvements now year over year. No point upgrading for several years unless you like wasting money

My biggest regret was trading in my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the 14 Pro Max, especially because of the loss of my physical SIM. I went through all kinds of hell trying to switch my eSim between my phones after that and ended up changing carriers 3 times over it.

I would assume it will still be a champ to this day. Even the 11 Pro Max I’m currently daily driving offers more than enough performance. The only drawback to I think any of these older models is the battery, if you go and get it fixed it’ll basically be like giving it another lease of life

My 13 pro max is still rocking solid and will do so for another 2 years. I came from android and im surprised how well this phone is aging. There is really nothing i need from the newer models that my iphone doesnt already have.

The 13 Pro Max was one of my favorite iPhones of all time. If not for the 15 getting USB C I would still be using it. I just wanted USB C enough to justify the upgrade. But the 13 pro was a damn good phone

i had a xr since early 2019 and that's held up so well, but when the opportunity to get an apple refurbished 13 pro arose late last year, i jumped on that immediately. this is peak iphone. that 13 pro is gonna hold up for soooooooooo long.

I have the iPhone 14 which is considered a water down version of the 13 Pro like you said but I’m OK with that. I’m gonna hang onto my phone for another year until the new iPhone 17s come out which is rumored to have a totally new design on one of them also good review video!

The only 13 thats worth it is the Mini

One important thing to note about the cameras is that the 13pro/max main lens is the only model so far to have a f1.5 max aperture. It’s the fastest main lens on any iPhone to date since the 14 and 15 models have a max of f1.78. So it still has the advantage of cleaner low light files in many instances (somewhere around 1/3 to a 1/2 stop). Computing improvements obviously have been made in newer models but sometimes you just can’t beat having more light. And you can see it in many test photos.

I just replaced my 12 mini with a 15 a few days ago. I was always someone into smaller phones, starting my iPhone journey with the 5c before moving onto the SE, then SE (2019) and finally the 12 mini, which I bought in 2022. I loved the smaller size. The reason I switched was because I think my usage patterns in the first year had killed the battery, and also the fronts speaker had become level with the screen protector somehow, so there was clearly something weird going on in the insides of the phone. The new 15 is great with the Dynamic Island and I enjoy the larger battery life that comes with the larger size, but with the size of my hands I basically have to give up one handed typing, as the way I have to hold the phone to hold and type exclusively with one hand stresses my hand too much.
