Charlie Charlie i think you can't say that in general. I think the quality of fakes is inconsistent. Chances are high that the case will break within a few weeks. But if you buy an original you're safe!

I got my phone case for £5.00 from eBay It’s a white one but it doesn’t look as fake as the one he’s showing! It’s also very protective and VERY smooth the inside is also very nice and almost identical to the original so that’s good🤣🥳the only thing is that there’s a little kinda mold line

you didnt spot the biggest difference, which is the apple sign! the apples differ slightly on both, check it out, its visible even on your video, but im actually glad that comparing that closely you didnt realize it, because it means its not noticeable that much.. and i had an original once and it broke after about 6 months.. now i have already about 10 different colors of the fake ones and i dont see any difference in the quality, i love them

I just got a few fake silicone ones, and, aside from the raw mold lines and clumsy lining, they're really nice. I like to switch the color a lot, so getting 3 for 15 is a great deal. I forgive the lines; for that price, nobody is going to hire someone to buff them away. That's probably why the real one is so costly. I do have two real ones, and they both have slightly visible mold lines on a couple of the sides. In all, I think the fakes are made with the scraps from whichever factory makes the real ones and provide the same protection. :)

Also the fake one smells like chemicals. Nice vid, thanks, it helped identify a fake I received today from an eBay seller. It was so different from my previous silicone case, I thought either Apple quality had gone down the toilet, or this was fake. Turns out it was fake. Thank goodness because I love my old iPhone silicone case, and this means I can use the refund towards a new genuine one.

Deliver The Liver agreed - I smelled the difference - who knows how safe those chemicals are. Different standards as apple doesn’t want lawsuits. The oem feels better in hand as well.

Jamil Diab it’s pretty good, the logo on it is the same color as the case. It definitely is very thin, the only complaint is that it gets greasy if you have dirty hands.

I have both, they're I'd say 90% identical. From mine, it seems like the fake one is a little bit softer than the real one. The colours are indeed different than the real one as I have both in red, the real Product Red is darker than the fake one. The rough mould line on the edge is not really an issue and barely noticeable, unless you really look into it. Really depends on individual, I just feel like the fake one is just as good as the real one and gets the job done. But if you really can afford the real one, why not?

I’ve tried loads of cases for my jet black iPhone 7 Plus and omg every case has left micro scratches 🙄 only noticeable in the light but I know they are on my phone

That sucks, when i was getting my iphone 7 i couldn't think of what color to get, but now im pretty happy that i went with gold, cause the jet black scratches easily. Sure, it would've looked nicer, but im using a case anyway..

I just got one thinking it was real but the whole thing looks odd after taking it out of the case looks exactly like a proper one but it has the mold lines and the apple logo almost looks like it’s been stuck on 😭 not happy

actually i can accept not buying an apple case, or any case of any brand, for that matter, but buying fakes actually supports these industries which is IP theft, something that shouldn't be encouraged, however insignificantly

I know this video is old, but thanks to this, I didn't buy into a buyer online who claimed to be selling the Product Red original silicone case. The dumbass took a picture of the packaging's backside which looked identical to the fake one you point out.

God dammit I bought an apple silicone case in my local smartphone shop for 35$ and the seller told me that it was real, after came home and I tried to open it, but it was just nasty because the package was hard to open and the paper just ripped, thats when I knew I got scammed because apple does everything perfectly!! I came back and they told me that I was lying and that they sell only original ones, I even had my receipt but they still told me that they sold me an original and I was trying to scamm them!!! They just profited of me, and now I have a fake case that I overpaid for!!! But I have to say they look identical whit the real one, we compered whit my friend, we have the midnight blue version. But I’m still mad because I could bought an original apple case for the same price😡😡😡!! Im suing the shop!! Some of you will say that why I just didn’t buy it in the apple store, well I have to drive 3,5 hours to the apple store and I don’t even have a car, plus this was the only shop that had apple silicone cases!!!!
