I think the reason people like iphone is, and this is from an android fan because 1. the software is not as glitchy, cleaner and much more optimized-speed 2.The Apple ecosystem works very well(air pods, iPad, mac books etc) 3. Its much more simple and predictable Now I know the new iPhones are not that innovative and way too expensive but for someone who always uses apple, I can understand why they like the iPhone.

Finally, someone who gets it. The one thing that I want most out of a phone is simplicity and optimization hence is why I usually buy an iPhone. I'm not biased and I think Android is a major and amazing os (stock android oreo looks really dope) however having a fixed ecosystem and predictable software really takes the stress out of using my phone. However, i can agree that the X is really expensive no doubt about that however under contract (in my country) it seems feasible compared to the top competitors (Note 8, Pixel XL). And most people I know dont buy their iPhones or Andoid Phones (S8, Note 8, Pixel, u get the idea) outright cuz they stupid expensive. Just my two cents

I'll be honest there's no denying that android has had the better and more innovative phones for the past 4 years, while it is complicated once you get the hang of the androids its just simply put...better than any apple phone that has came out recently. I plan on switching soon because its clear apple is out of ideas on how to make something new and creative this is essentially the same phone as the iphone 8 which is very apparent. Still great phones, just not fun anymore I guess is what im saying

Many Android devices don’t last very long. As an Android and iOS user, I’ve had to use 4 different Android phones in a span of 6 years due to software and hardware issues that can’t be fixed. Meanwhile, the iPad 2 that I bought 6 years ago managed to work so well until around August this year. I’m now typing this on my new iPad 2017 and I’m sure it’s gonna last just as long as my iPad 2.

I adjusted to no home button in about 30 minutes it's not an issue. And the fingerprint scanner gave me so much trouble over the years and so far face detection works amazingly well and I would take it over the fingerprint any day of the week. I personally love it coming from an iPhone 6 but that's just my opinion. But the stuff you mentioned doesn't bother me at all.

Matthew Gonzales not every person, just what the majority wants. If people ask for a bigger display, then companies should adapt and tend to their customers needs. Apple is stepping in the right direction, BUT taking out the headphone jack and fingerprint scanner are _inexcusable._ It's a quick moneygrab for them.

I think your misunderstanding this comment. he is simply pointing out the flaws of this review. you can't really be sold by his statements "it's not perfect so well" or "you have to get used to this, well". and stating it "the best iPhone ever made", I'm just not sold by this review. Ankur Apte I think it’s WAY too soon for anyone to be able to make a decision on that either way. Until you’re using it in actual real world situations-I don’t think there’s a way to know which way is preferred. I think in three months we will all be able to answer that question!

Apple said it was supposed to be for next year, but "with a lot of hard work and dedication" they brought it to market this year. I think the massive bezel shrinking samsung did forced apple to rush this. One of the big concerns I saw people asking was, "Can I use faceID when my phone is on a desk" and from this video, it sounds like that answer is no.

carousel8118 It is something that you have to get used to though. For the last decade, iPhone naysayers have been berating iPhones for not changing, while even the diehards have desired more change. Now that the iPhone has finally undergone a drastic evolution, making good on people's hopes of altering the user experience, people are opposed to it. At the end of the day, 2-3 years from now, everybody will be used to the formula that the iPhone X has set. Just like people had to get used to iOS in 2007.
