6644pmr the 4k screen is always 4k. The screen is always showing all the pixels. The phone is 1080p to 4k in the home screen/app drawer etc. by copying the pixels 4 times. In media apps (that arent 4k) it's upscaling the media to 4k. So you'll won't notice it that much. At least still better than 1080p and 2k in most cases.

XZ Premium is the most underrated phone of the year. I feel very lucky i got it at half the price of the iPhone X. The pentile Oled display of the iPhone looks very blurred and feels cheap compared to the XZ Premium. Even the black levels are better on the premium. It was a big mistake from Apple to invest on these type of displays.

Whats the price difference again? To be fair let's compare with the Iphone X 64gb.... 1150€ , paid for my XZp somewhere around 450-480€ (brand new including tax). Seems I made the right choice. Funny fact: Sony's screen seems to look better than "ultimate retina hd borrowed by samsung" . Only thing I dislike on the XZp's screen is the persistance in VR mode. Maybe something for upcoming models... 4K Oled HDR Screen in 18:9 display ratio with small bezels for the front facing stereo speakers. Very nice would be a stereo dualcam which shoots photos and videos in with an average human ipd (somewhere round 65mm)

cookie müller had the chance to setup the New ip X for a Client of my Business. Feels great, the notch doesn't distract you like i first was thinking, but the overall image seemed to be yellowish tinted. Not a very pleasant view compared to the xzp. It may have been some kind of bluefilter/daytime alternating image etc though. In terms of Resolution xzp is king, but im sure this won't be for a long period of time until there are other competitors out there.

Tady 20072000 well I'm running on zero camera mod (qhd 60fps 2560x1440 4k hdr edge sharpness and denoise 4k focus tracing etc..)so u khnow my phone is rooted and I think the camera is brilliant ..so far better than my old sony xzp EXYNOS rocks however Samsung stock Rom is a piece of shit and I never had chance to test the speed (I'm on echoe custom rom with ael kernel and this is sparta😁)

I saw that same performance from the xz back then, then i bought it, updated to android N in the same day and surprise it can't even beat my 2 years old note 5 and battery life went from amazing to just good 🙂 so i don't thinl this will last long

Anothing thing I love about XZP is the vibrant display, its very impressive how it produces colors like AMOLED but its more durable and long lasting because its on an IPS LCD screen.

I own an XZ Premium and I find it to be a fantastic phone. It rarely overheats and it generally a very fast and powerful phone - I am sure it is sufficient for your needs unless it is simply not of your taste!

Sony is better. From the screens black levels, its faster and has a better camera. Im getting the xzp. A real phone to upgrade from my xperia z3. Love these phones.

I couldnt help but notice the display on the 2 phones. Sonys was definitely alot bolder in colour, giving the phone a more crisp look. If I had to choose one though, I would honestly choose Sony. Plus, im typing this comment on a Sony Xperia z1 (old, I know)

LOL, The Son< Xperia XZ Premium is in the app management /Background applications, start time, etc.) FAR better then the iPhone. I also like the colors more on the Xperia YZ display. Move along, iPhone, the new king is coming from Japan :D

Since the dawn of time, i was windows all the way, thru, nokia 3310, N95, lumia 820, lumia 950xl, and yesterday to Android: Sony XZ Premium. Have not looked back, I played with all iphones in store, all feel like a toys for kids, restrictive and incompatible. Loving this XZ. Windows remain on PC's, can't see myself ever considering anything Apple, not because of an automatic, irrational anti-apple-ism, but because every time i try and use anything apple i end up frustrated due to lack of simple functions and irrational GUI.

I got the XZ Premium and I'm not surprised that octa-core Snapdragon 835 beats the six cores of the A11 Bionic only two of which effectively topping out at just 2.39Ghz
