Sir 3utools doe not read the cover board number .Is there any other software for reading it ?

It does read , make sure itunes is not open and then open 3utools connect the phone press trust on phone and you should be able to read from the software

Doesn't work for me. Writing the data succeeds but when I check the phone True tone is missing still, the original flex cable is still there as it True Tone was working when the phone arrived (bought with a cracked screen off eBay).

if the original cracked lcd you have then connect that and then read the data and then connect the new one and write the data

@@myjunaid Did that. Tried it numerous times, not working. I think I may have accidentally overwritten the original screen data with the replacement one using QianLi software, so I don't think it will ever work again. Even in 3uTools it shows the ex-factory serial numbers the same as what is programmed to the new screen AND the cracked one, yet it still doesn't work. The ribbon cable is the same and so is the Face ID module and front camera. It appears the rear camera and battery have been replaced as the serial numbers don't match the ex-factory values in 3uTools and the battery has a "Replace base" logo on so has clearly been replaced.

@@thefiestaguy8831 it happened to me once or twice then tried again and again sorted out but not sure why its not doing it in your case may be your device needs to update (firmware) But will update you if i gets this issue

But if you reset your phone then it should not be a problem as this is only one time process you are writing the serial number and details to the new lcd chip once its programmed its done

@@tunasuner Please inspect your touch connector closly may be there are dust or by the time you were trying to connect and push the connector may be it happened there otherwise you need to first read the other screen and then write once you have already written in your new screen it will only have the last stored hope you get my point first try to clean the connector and also on the board and then test by changing the MTSN you are actually telling the phone that now it has the same screen which was before by the company i do it on everyday basis and i never get this issue

@@myjunaid I did the same as you showed in the video because I didn't have an old screen, but then the touch stopped working halfway through the screen, is it definitely on the screen touch connector error? If the connector is defective, does it change or do I need a complete screen replacement?

@@tunasuner i believe you lcd was already faulty before because it never happened to me the only time it happens when there is a small cut on the L area of the flex cable or connector pins or bend or demage or covered with other material like glue are not good connection If your same screen was working good before and that you are 100% sure and it happened after transferring the serials then try to read from any other lcd and write it on this and then check But i believe this has nothing to do with the touch functionality , maybe i am wrong but it never happened to me

you will still have to follow the different process watch my other video which is iphone 11 true tone fix , That process is for from genuine lcd to a replacement Lcd even though you are using original lcd or not you still need to transfer the old lcd data to the new lcd in order to keep the true tone feature on

@@robinpaulose4795 fingerprint has no link with battery or screen from 5s to 8 plus only same genuine home button works even if the screen and battery is not genuine same thing goes to face id up to iPhone 12 pro max it will work as long as you will transfer the genuine earpiece & sensor flex Now battery upto iphone x if you replace the battery you will not get the message but after iphone x you will get the message and that cannot be programme at the moment for that you need to transfer the battery circut from the old battery to the new battery
