Although the night photos did look better than the night video, the night video is still VERY impressive. WAY less noise in the night video than I was expecting. Honestly the noise in the night video felt more like an artistic flair than a shot-ruining distraction. Very excited to get my hands on the iPhone XR when it comes out.

Dxomark rates the Xs at 104 for photography and Note 9 at 103. If you want to say "kicked ass" by 1 point...I guess.. Note is still king of low-light.

I sold my Nikon D300s and 17-55mm lens to buy a XS. I know it doesn't compare but when I'm hiking for a day, it's much easier carrying light gears. So far, and with my Lightroom knowledge, I'm able to get pretty good pictures. I don't regret my move.

Have you seen the video by Unbox Review showing that the iphone XS has a beauty mode thing that can't be turned off? I was wondering if this affects videos and if it can't be fixed by using other apps. I mean, its a bad thing to cave an auto-skin tone thing if you plan on editing the photos/videos yourself.
