I heard rumors they will bring it back the fingerprint next year. If not, hopefully they will improve the tracking angle of face recognition which seems to be impossible. So i just guess finger sensor should be better introduced. For some it does not matter (fingerprint). But for other people like me, when i put my phone on the table, finger sensor is very usefull.

I strongly believe that if Apple doesn’t purposely slow down iPhones, people would upgrade less frequently especially considering the crazy prices! Having said this, my first ever iPhone was the 4 which I got in May 2011. I upgraded to 6 Plus in November 2014 and again to Xs Max in December 2018. The 4 & 6+ are still functioning but with issues like lagging and battery draining ultra fast. So yeah, price-wise, definitely upgrade after 2 years at least. But performance-wise, if you got your iPhone brand new, use it and enjoy it for 3 or even 4 years! Then, when you upgrade, you definitely will see the difference!!

Preenses Carlos change your battery also updating apps will add more features to those apps along with updating IOS keep in mind your older phone has less ram so when you update so much along with your battery decreasing in performance your phone goes slow. Apple slowed down cpu because battery was decaying in capacity and couldn’t power the phone to full performance just change battery and that will be fixed. I have iPhone 6 with new battery and it runs smooth on iOS 12.1.4

My daughter and I just upgraded, the reasons are obvious. It was a direct trade in at Verizon, so I just switched my older iPhone XS Max for an 11 Pro Max, payments are exactly the same, but now I have my iPhone with an active warranty. So not upgrading seemed stupid to me. I get a better processor, better battery, better camera, better display (brightness), the added software enhancements only available on the A13, a new phone with warranty and no change in payments. I am surprised at how much I really love the wide angle camera.

I upgraded from the 10XS Max to the 11 Pro Max and what a waste of time and money.. I should have waited until next year when I think something will change for the better. I even tried the Note 10 and took it back for 35 restocking. To me it was a much better phone etc, but I am heavily invested in Apple's infrastructure, iPad, iMac's, MacBook Pro and 2 apple TV's so I took the note back. To me it was the better device if it were running IOS 13.1.. I am a beta tester for apple.

if anyone is wondering... iOS 13.1.2 improved the battery life of Xs max I used to get 5 hours sot with 20% batt left but right now I’m constantly getting 6 hours SOT with 20% batt left.. my batt health is on 96%. that being said, iPhone pro 11 max users reportedly saying that their phones are getting 10hours SOT is insanely awesome.

Nice review, but not accurate. It’s more like a feel good review for XS owners. Here’s why: 1. battery life is almost double. My gf has a XS Max and has to charge every night with 15-20 % left. My 11 pro max lasts 2 days with 5-10% left at 2nd night (and I’m a power user) 2. Ultra wide, night mode and deep fusion are a radical change that you won’t want to miss if you like to take photos. Portrait mode is much improved. Even 12 MP front camera is better and slofies are possible now if you are into that (I’m not) 3. No, the speakers and the sound are not the same. The 11 pro max is louder and the new 3D sound system makes music and Games incredibly real. Seriously! This is the real wow effect if you demo the device to your friends... Conclusion: no you don’t need to update to an 11 pro, but this is true for almost every phone and brand out there. Changes from its predecessors are rarely so radical, that you NEED to update. Is the 11 pro a much better phone than the XS with mostly interior changes? Yes

Well. I always prefer to buy phones one year later after it's officially launch. so it's time to upgrade from iphone 6 to iphone xs max :D
