I was wondering if Apple would knock out the competition - but they didn’t. I’m actually watching this video thinking about how much I prefer using KINO. Please improve your app but please don’t walk away from the basic metaphor your app is built on. It unique… who needs another camera app choked with feature bloat.

@@Jeannemarre sadly the App Store can give us subscriptions with trials or pay up front... No, prores Log is only on iPhone 15 Pro.

This is great for people just starting out - you know - the ones who have a $1500 phone - actually 3 of them - and then a $1500 iPad - plus all the drives and connections to handle all of this in 4k60 prores - OR.....you could just buy a camera and a MacBook - and actually have FULL Final Cut Pro and probably save money if you bought a used camera (or two).

Roland make the switcher app for livestreaming multiple iPhones (or Android) from an iPad. You do need Roland hardware to use it though.

I was able to connect my iPhone, I tried using my wife’s iPhone (different Apple ID) and the iPad name won’t show to connect. Did you try connecting a different iPhone other than yours?

Not sure if anyone else is having this bug, but the Final Cut camera is just a black screen and doesn’t actually record. Not sure if it’s because I’m on the iOS 18 Beta (iPhone 15 pro max) 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m intrigued. I dont care for subscription apps and been using Luma Fusion and sometimes daVinci but the multi cam is interesting. I know some apps I can use the mics from my zoom pro audio recorder so I wonder if I can do the same with multi cam. I record to the zoom and the app for a backup track, and sometimes plug my wireless mics receiver into the zoom. I might need to give this a try. Would save time on editing for sure.

Could this be an added feature to the MacBook Final Cut app in the future? Also, the FCP camera should have the lever in the middle so you know you’re holding the phone leveled correctly, just like the regular camera app. Thanks for the video!

There’s no auto ISO and I would like to have the ability to directly livestream using Final Cut Pro and multicam… I would get it immediately. Because that option is not available I’ll keep using my beloved davinci resolve app

This is really cool but I don’t like that the multicam editing is just tiny thumbnails at the bottom. It should be a bigger 2x2 preview so you can actually see what you’re choosing from when you edit it. Also a missed opportunity to not have the ability to edit live while recording.

I'm homeless. I've used Mevo for multi camera livestreaming effect, then I've switched to Switcher (pun intended). Logitech had bought Mevo. Apple had added face tracking to their webcam experience - feature that had existed in Mevo for so long. Logitech gave Switcher's functionality to Mevo Multicam app, providing it across all mobile platforms (very buggy though). Apple reveals Final Cut camera. Will this Apple toolkit be affordable to me @iPhonedo ?
