The FZ6 powerband is more enjoyable for cornering at more of a street pace than the faster R6.

That red light who blinks at high rev, above the gear shift indicator, How it's called? Tnak you

Hi, the shift light indicator is called Batwing diode. It's an extension for Cordona PQ8 quickshifter.

I have to point that the shift light indicator is not working by alone. You have to buy the quick shifter from Cordona first. This is only do you like which views to you shifting revs which you set in the quickshifters ecu

Kubík Mařík Thank you for your time BTW what tyres pressure do you use on track?
8 жыл бұрын
+Dani Luping it depends on used tyres, because this is my bike for normal use ( it means that I had not own the racing track bike, yet when the video was shoot, yet), so for street riding, sometimes circuit, i'm using the Continental tyres. I started with Continental ContiSport Attack2 with pressures recomended by Yamaha for FZ6 at cold tyres for street 2,5 front and 2,9 bar and for track 2,25 front and 2,5 bar rear at cold. This video was shoot at Continental ContiRaceAttack tyres, the Endurance compound, used pressures was set at warm tyres ( at least 80*C min 90minutes with tyre warmers ) for front wheel 2,1 rear 1,8 Bar. I'm using same RaceAttack tyres and pressures for street riding, because buying the race bike is better choise than using a bike for everyday use. At race bike ( Yamaha R6R YEC) using the Pirelli Diablo Superbike Pro slick, S2 compound with warm pressures 2,0 front and 1,5rear.

I'm thinking to buy the same motorcycle.YES or NO????Thank you.

I own one, it handles very smooth and the engine has some nice raging power when you hit 8000 rpm. Quite versatile and very reliable, great ride if you're on a budget. 2 downsides: weight and lack of torque at low revs

i bought a DATATOOL gear shift indicator but i cant find the Engine speed pulse (RPM) wire and Speedometer pulse (KM/H) wire. You have any ideea what colour is and location? thank you for your time
8 жыл бұрын
The RPM pulse wire is located under gas tank in 2pin connector which comes from crankcase, there are 2 wires, one of them is black/blue, the other grey, the grey one is RPM pulse, speedometer pulse is also under gar tank, search for triangular 3pin connector speed pulse is white/yellow cable. Hope this will help you.

I tried to conect below the dash, not directly to the ECU. So the neutral is also below the gas tank? What colour is? Thank you

Does it act well on a race track? I have the same bike

Lets call stock FZ6 with no mods usable for track riding. If you're rider with precize riding style. At stock there is everything what you do wrong multiplied, when you try to be fast, because you can easily get the bike at its limit. The suspension is biggest problem, cause is too much soft. Brakes are not problem, actually brakes are excellent and yes, I'm talking about axial master cylinder and floating 2piston calipers. If you want to chase and beat many of the ammateur riders you'll have to upgrade a bike bit. At the mimimum you'll have to change front springs, change viscozity of fork oil to 15w and add 5mm more oil to each of forks. I also used custom made fork caps with r6 spring tension adjusters and change rear shock absorber for adjustable one. I used the Hyperpro springs and hyperpro rear shock absorber, also I've done metal brake lines race type, radial master cilinder, customisable Ecu, adjustable racing rearsets with reverse shifthing pattern, quickshifter, spark plugs

+Kubík Mařík At a certain moment I will take it to a track and when i get the hang off it i will probably buy a cheap race bike or something. But I like what you have done to it!!
8 жыл бұрын
+Nick Vercampt I did it same way, i bought cheap CBR600f and i built my first race bike by my own hands from that CBR. Then i bought fully professional race setup YZF-R6 YEC.
