Phil salt should be first choice If we cant get him then we should go all out for venky , venky is reliable middle order batsman But then we need to find an opener , we could go for gurbaz or nitish rana , both are wicket keepers as well Vaibhav is good choice , our spin attack is complete with varun and narine , but we need some good pacers I dont think we can afford stark , he will fetch above 15 cr , its too high

When did Nitish Rana become a wicket keeper?? Btw he is a useless player and Gurbaz is mediocre. After Salt and Venky they should go for Vaibhav, Suyash, Angkrish and then starc.

If KKR don’t buy anyone from marquee set 1 and 2 then they can easily buy both Salt and Venky. I just hope they do so instead of buying Indian players from marquee set. And they can make Nitish captain too.

1. KKR will not be able to buy back SALT or Shreyas, SALT and Iyer will cross 20-25 Cr. 2. KKR will be able to buy back only 1 batsman even that will touch 15-20 Cr, most probably Venkatesh Iyer if he comes a bit late in the auction. 3. Nitish Rana will also go for 10-12 crores. So with Venkatesh and Rana KKR will be done with 30-32 Crores easily. However these 2 batsman will give them 1-4 batting flexibility which solves a lot of problem. 4. KKR will not be able to touch Pant, KL Rahul, Jos Butler or Salt, at max they will be able to buy back Gurbaaz! Once again a decent buy and I prefer him over De Q. 5. Now Vaibabh Arora/Raghuvanshi will again be tough to buy back, all these players will touch 10+ crores 6. KKR will start having bad seasons again, it’s not their fault, top 3 teams should have the option of more retentions or RTM cards, it’s just not fair for teams to build a winning team and let them go. 7. KKR should still buy back Manish Pandey at base price and keep him as a back up middle order batsman. 8. Also don’t miss out on Kane Williamson/ Bhuvi if they can be bought at lesser price

I still don't understand how KKR has spend 69 Cr. Shouldn't it be 57 cr(13+12+12+12+4+4=57) Why is everyone saying they spend 69 cr. Can someone explain it to me?

Doesn't matter how much money was paid to the player. First retention for a capped player would cost the franchise 18cr , 2nd 14cr and so on.

Because this was the minimum amount fixed by the rules, a team must use this much amount (69cr) if they retain all 6 players, and KKR did retain the all 6 palyers, so it doesn't matter how much they have spent. KKR can use the rest amount (69 - 57 = 12cr) for team management related expenses but can't use that amount for auction.
