Hi all! In todays video I’ll be showing you all how to install the IPPS Door Shut PPF.
The bespoke kit protects the paintwork inside the door shut from abrasions and eventual loss of paint caused by the brittle door seal and / or ingress of dirt. If left untreated, a respray is often needed due to the onset of oxidation. Please note, if wear is already present, the kit can still be installed to prevent any further wear. It is recommended to touch up the damaged area prior to installing the kit for cosmetic purposes.
Manufacturers are unable to rectify this issue (design flaw) and class it as wear and tear.
The Paint Protection Film used is a high-grade self-healing (transparent kit) automotive film which boasts, high clarity, durability and non-yellowing inhibitors, to ensure a long-lasting, clean OEM+ appearance.
Each kit contains both driver and passenger side pieces, with an accompanying step by step installation guide.

Thank you, Ben, for doing this video. I didn't even know this was an issue! Went straight out to have a look and sure enough there was the first signs of some paint wear. Ordered the black version of this straight away👍 Keep up the good work the lonks are really useful too👍👍

You made that look easy mate (and it is) I'd recommend people do this above a certain temperature, I'm just finished doing it (drivers side for now) and it took much longer for the piece to adhere thought it was going fail actually but got there in the end. It was 10 centigrade here in Glasgow. Thanks for the demo.

I had this with my 2018 F56. Luckily I noticed it within the warranty and mini re sprayed the door and put the sticker on for me for free.

Hi Drew, please keep an eye on the film MINI installs - it yellows, becomes brittle and begins to degrade very quickly! Our kits have a 2 year warranty, and a 10 year non telling guarantee, meaning we replace the kit fee of charge if you have any issues, no questions asked!

The F56 is the 3-Door. F55 is the 5-Door. F57 is the Convertible. F54 is the Clubman and the F60 is the Countryman

Can I use washing up liquid instead of the baby shampoo?

I’m not too sure, they recommend baby shampoo as it has very little additives but I’d imagine washing up liquid would work just as well. May be worth doing a smaller dilution so it’s not as strong.
