Pearl is the perfect example of why free speech is important. If you shut people down before they speak, you'll never give them the opportunity to expose themselves.
@mercb3ast
@mercb3ast Жыл бұрын
The problem is, many people don't understand what free speech is. People advocating for it on the right, usually don't actually want free speech. They want protected speech. The difference between free speech and protected speech is, free speech is not free from consequence. Protected speech is. AKA, fuck around, find out.

@@mercb3astthey are the same thing. Free speech is protected speech.. and what consequences are you talking about? Legal? Social? If someone says something stupid or offensive and lose their audience socially or people exclude them from the public square socially, then yeah i agree.. but if someone says something stupid or offensive, they shouldnt be criminalised for it.

I do kinda agree that slavery tends to be over-embellished to some degree. Ill be in conversation with people and they'll say slaves couldn't read or write and I'd say that some house slaves or slaves that managed other slaves did. They will get defensive immediately and try to act like I'm trying to defend slavery when in reality I'm just correcting the misinformation they are spreading. Another example is id hear from multiple sources that slaves worked 20 hours every day, were not fed while working and had to work every day of the week, but in actuality, slaves most likely worked 13 hours with a 30 minute breakfast and dinner break, plus slaves never worked on Sundays and were allowed to go to church. We all know slavery is a horrible thing, that's absolutely correct, but at the same time some people can make it sound worse than what it actually is. This isn't me saying it was a good thing, just that people over-embellish a bit.

By the way we are evolved for self preservation, even as someone who is very docile and meek, when met with the right circumstances will pull up their fits and do whatever it takes to protect themselves. The word reactive abuse shouldn’t even be used. It implies that the victim is also abusing the same way the abuser is and not just reaction to self preservation, and protection.

Exactly. Seeing a dysfunctional relationship between your parents is something that most definitely impacts the children's emotional development negatively. If there is abuse, it's even worse, all studies show that teenagers with violent tendencies have grown up witnessing domestic violence against one or both parents. Staying is in fact what puts kids at a statistical disadvantage.

yeah that isnt really true. for starters majority of people men and woman who ends up in a abusive relationship are often abusive themselves or highly attracted to toxic behavior and its enviorment. theres this saying you often attract what you yourself are. when it comes to hide their behavioure, they dont. it is a gradual evolvement. they always start with isolation before violence, violence always accoure when they know their partner allows it to happen. it never happens out of the blue. the the victime often also ignores the toxic behavior as well or justify it. oh he beats me because he loves me, or i cant leave because he needs me etc etc.

I mean, I'm not dead. But I still know what it looks like when somebody is dead. Just because you have not lived through something or experienced it personally doesn't mean you can't learn about it. I don't know s*** about helicopters but I know the one that Kobe was on, wasn't a good one. You don't have to experience something in order to talk about it. I don't know what it's like to be shot I can still learn what the bullet velocity is. The damage on impact. The likelihood of survival. All without experiencing it myself. So if you hate somebody go ahead and say it. Just out of curiosity do you think meth is bad? Because under your logic you wouldn't know if it is or not unless you tried it.

Calling her out for saying that abuse centers say 90% of abuse is mutual. They actually say "mutual abuse" doesn't exist. It is a natural reaction to being attacked. Self defense on the victim's part and blame shifting in the abuser's part. I really wanna see her say that to a DV victim and call it mutual when that victim drags her face across the asphalt. Edited to add: My abuser accused me of abusing them WHILE in the act of physically abusing me. He was literally smashing his phone into my face while saying "look at how you abuse me! You accusing me of cheating is abusing me!" Like "bruh look at what you're doing right now..." the audio was caught on video by my daughter but it was behind a closed door so all you hear is the argument leading to physical assault.

That’s the assumption. She holds some extremely dangerous but typical white values attitudes and perceptions of the world. Her friends will reflect these values etc. The values (culture) that were taught to her by her conservative “evangelic” typed Christian parents. She is gradually returning to this centre ground after a brief planned orchestrated hiatus into the “HOOD”. Where she studied the natives on her show. She’s noe made a name for herself and is now returning to America. She’s a very calculated fool indeed an oxymoron. However like the joker (who’s the joke on?) Unfortunately what you are refer to here is independent critical thinking friends. Few of us (myself included) have these type of friends. However there should be a line. I guess our faith in the ability of humanity to do the right thing will be questioned 😔😢 ✌🏾out

There's a slight difference, tho. Andrew Tate exaggerates a lot of his personality traits for dramatic and comic effect. He's likely at his core still an abuser and misogynist. The trauma of waking up to your younger sibling crying because dad is beating mom, and then trying to pull him off her to then be hit yourself and finally after waiting in your room with your siblings having to sneak out of the house with them and your mom once he passes out bc he’s so drunk is horrible. I thank God my mom had the courage to leave and she didn’t press charges, which actually made it easier for all of us. That is just stupid logic though. Anyone can be in a relationship..people can be married 5 times but it doesn't mean they have any more knowledge or expertise on marriage than someone else (regardless of their relationship status) because they clearly can't succeed in one. Pearl atleast talks with men regularly and noone knows besides her what her dating life is like. People are attracted to obese degenerates so Pearl has nothing to worry about especially compared to the 3s & 4s talking rubbish in this comment section.. Alot of these people in the comments are just in Abas f4g echo chamber and they can't think for themselves and if you go through the comments you may aswell be reading bot spam. When people like her say things like “I can’t have this conversation”, but they mean not in that setting with the company she has at the moment. Where can you feel comfortable having this conversation? Who needs to be in your company to have this conversation? You are at some point having the conversation, you just don’t want to have it where you’re fact checked or held accountable. It’s cowardly to pick when you want to “stand behind” what you believe in. If you truly believe in something, you would use whatever opportunity and platform to talk about it.

@@alphaking3294in my experience my parents are divorced but stayed good friends and we’re always respectful of each other and everyone got along. That made for a different yet stable environment for me and my sisters. 2 close friends of mine growing up had parents who hate each other and refused to split up. All of us were considered upper middle class but taking finance off the table my 2 friends had hellish lives growing up with verbal and physical abu$e being witnessed or inflicted on them. It’s hard to live with people who actively hate each other. They used to hide out at my house for a bit of peace on many occasions until my therapist mom stepped in to patch things up with the kids and their parents.
