What a great turnout for Ipswich Anzac Day Parade. It's awesome to see people coming together to remember the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. "Lest We Forget"

I'm 66. Just retired. I've never had to go to war. I've never had to do military service. That's because the men and women remembered on Anzac day in NZ and Aus, and here in the UK on 11 November gave there lives for me to have that freedom. Thank-you.

We don’t have to fight in the war, because those brave men and women stepped out to protect us from the war. On Anzac Day and Remembrance Day, shall we take some time to pay our respect to those brave men and women?

As an American Veteran I salute all of you. Vietnam era showed a lot of you in that a War none of us should have been. We lost 50,000 young warriors. I’m sure a lot of sacrifices from all representatives. Nice parade. ❤

Bob, for what it is worth, from a Canadian, thank you for your service. I actually performed, as a bagpiper, at an American war memorial service once, in Washington State (dedicated to Vietnam veterans...some of which were also Canadians serving in the US military)....first time I'd seen "young" veterans. We in Canada these days now have "young" veterans once again unfortunately.. Hang in there and know that people elsewhere honour you for what you have done.

The old Soldiers on parade long gone from the fields of Hell, honored by those who know nothing of what they did nothing of what they went through. What do the old Soldiers really want? They would like a cold beer with the comrades they used to know, play a hand of Gin Rummy, with other young men, sleep a quiet sleep and forget. What do the young Soldiers want? To hold up as well as those old guys, to have a cold beer and a game, sleep a quiet sleep and forget what they really did, what they saw and what they felt See the Soldiers on parade, so strong and proud, waiting for the next field of Hell ' wondering who will become an honored memory. And about that "honor" played out by the citizens, who is it really for? The Heroes. The real Heroes like all the Soldiers say, those who never got to ride in the parade.

I have not seen so many Willi's GP and ONE Right hand drive too. So many vetrans, although I am always disappoint they must shamble along. So trying to keep step and those who don't care, or cannot and gave it up. Such a poor showing to make me sad. I cry when saying, "We HAVE Forgotten" ... A parade means little now; it is just the walk to a beer & pizza party. I thought things were bad in my U.S. City, I see they are worse elsewhere.
