Thanks for this. My fire tv recently started autoplaying ads when I turned it on, which is just ridiculous. Didn’t realize there was a setting to nix that.

The ads on Firestick have gotten worse. I'm now getting sponsored ads like car insurance or facial tissue showing up that you have to scroll through on the home page. Also, these ads are in real bright colors taking up the whole width of the screen, so you can't just ignore it as it sticks out on the dark grey background, especially since you have to scroll through it. I really hated the new UI when it came out a couple of years ago as it had a bunch of random movies and TV shows listings, which were ads. But I got used to it because it was at least related to you watching movies and tv shows. But I think this new sponsored ads, I may just end up getting an Apple TV and calling it a day.

Hi there, I never claim in this video that you can remove the ad banner. On Fire TV devices you can't. These ad blockers work great for blocking ads in web browsers and even some applications.

Unfortunately, the ad blockers do not work on KZbin. However they work great on the Silk Browser for general ad blocking.
