In my humble opinion, the GOAT question has long been settled. Other tennis greats might accomplish more and break additional records, performing as top athletes. They go out there and play highly competitive tennis matches. But Roger goes out there and paints masterpieces, using his racquet as a brush.

Oh please spare me the biased bullshit! Lol You know well deep inside that aesthetics got tiny if anything at all to do with greatness! He may have the most elegant smile, the best looking backhand, the most loyal wife, the best looking kids, the most expensive gear so on and so forth…but there is only one thing that truly matters in order to be the greatest - it is being the best in your sport, as in results wise and not looks or aesthetics wise! Whoever holds most significant records, whoever beats his arch rivals and leads h2h the most, whoever achieves most significant feats is the greatest of all times and that person is definitely not Roger Federer anymore…used to be, not anymore…

The Goathood can now be only settled between Nadal and Djokovic! Federer is now forever third (unless someone makes him fourth, fifth etc…in the future…) In 10, 20, 30 years from now on…no matter how many years have passed he will forever be behind Djokodal…get over it! Lol

Rafa may have more Grand Slams, Novak may have been most successful and celebrated, but I feel there is noone who can beat Federer when it comes to grace and elegance. His shots are so effortless and clever, keeps his opponent wondering. He in my opinion is the greatest player who has ever graced this game.

@@neverlands8403 Roger is the greatest risk taker. Nadal and Djokovic have many highlights of them returning an impossible ball. Roger's is filled with hitting that impossible ball. Other two may have greater win percentage in this slow court era but Roger's game is endlessly more entertaining.

Yet, not so many people understand WHY only Federer plays with such elegance and so clever. Are other players simply STUPID not to play as smart as he? NO: MANY other players KNOW as well what that clever shot should/would be, i e. where to send the ball in order to secure a win(ner), but ARE NOT CAPABLE OF (RELIABLY) DOING IT. In other words: The level of skill DETERMINES the level of creativity. It's the same in boxing, painting, anything: Can you PERFORM what you imagined? So the TRANSMISSION between the head and the hand is the key (how well it functions) and Federer seems to be most gifted with that part, at least in MOST shots (-for instance, Novak is better than him in diagonal forehand passing shots).

Without doubt, Federer is the most talented, beautiful, vesatile player ever to play tennis. Variety of shots he has, is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear ppl say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1250 matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 50 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public.. Even if Novak wins 25 Slams, he can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer.

He opted out of mix doubles in olypics 4 months ago..now, worst...he hide his vaccination status for which he may be stopped to play in Australian open in Jan 2022..he is weired character..for all these reasons, he will never b on top of popularity chart.. even if he wins 25 Glams, he can never beat RF in terms of elegance, class, skill and being gentleman on and off the court...

RF has allround game, his various shots forehand or backend or serve or dropshots looks so pleasing to eyes.. even his behaviour is almost perfect with players or fans or reporters.. he also got stefen edberg sportsman award for 12 times..Novak none..also in terms of popularity, he is miles ahead of nadal or novak or any1 else...
