The secret to getting the middle wheels out or on with kizer fluid 5 frames is taking the outside wheels out first when taking them out, putting them on you out the inside wheels in first because you can expand the frames to get the inside wheels in and out easier with this method.

When we started skating Anti rocker in the 90s we had huge wheels on the outside, bigger the better to compensate for speed. I think it's a flaw in modern skates. 68 seems like a much nicer anti size but I can't fit them in my skates, I'm about 62 at best. Anti is for street skating but it's kind of been reversed, Anti for park & flat for street which I now understand but still feel like it's missing a lot in the skating experience & what makes it enjoyable.

I just put the teal Red Eye 55/92 wheels in my Fluid Vs and shared a similar experience my first time on them. Found them very fast and was surprised how stable they were when rolling straight and on the flat portion of the profile. Love the feeling of a shorter wheel base when accelerating and carving, too.
@jadrollervlog2 жыл бұрын
Yup!!!!! Small wheels are SUPER fun!

By any chance have you tried rolling the red eyes 55mm in an antirocker setup? If so, what's your thoughts on only rolling two small wheels vs 4?

Good video!!💯 I also had my first session with the 909 yesterday. had the FLT3 frame on it but think I'll test the Them street frame anti rocker the next session times. Stay tuned your videos are really good!💪👍

i can't fit the 62mm wheel, did you mod the on them street frame so it fit's the 68mm wheels?

68mm antirocker is way to go bro! My current setup, it feels good and helps a lot while getting around, thinking of trying fluid V with 58mm or 60mm though, I know it is hard to push inside middle wheels, it is the same with fluid IV but after a few attempts frames get used to it, so no problem at all Let's GOOOOOOO

I’ve been using the Mushroom Blading 58mm face profile flat on the Them frames. It’s really comfortable and the urethane seems high quality. I only skate park so it’s almost perfect.

I like this video format! Do those 68 wheels touch the soul when you do a toe roll? I got some bigger wheels on my Blanks and it looked like they had that tiny bit of clearance as well but they act like a brake when I toe roll and I'm a light dude. Could it be that the Thems are a lot more solid in the soul/boot area?
@jadrollervlog2 жыл бұрын
Not for me. I weigh about 154 lb. I stepped in the mud at one point though and it was scraping on some of the mud buildup underneath the wheel but that's about it and it was barely scraping. The wheel tip is wearing down a little bit now so there's more clearance. As for the blanks hmmm not too sure. Maybe the frame? Or maybe the wheel. I assume it's not the wheel. Usually it squishes on the bottom and that shouldn't affect the top. I think it has something about the soul frame combination that you have.

Quick question about the intuition liner in the Pat ridder skate. Is is worth buying boot only for the intuition liner ?

I really wanted to skate the Fluid V's but I had the same issue with the middle wheels. I broke 4 pairs of bearings and just gave up on them. Maybe I'll try again at some point with cheap bearings

Could be the inner bearing spacer too. But yeah I hope they address that someday.

If you are using medium V2 soul plates and large THEM Frames you can get away with 68 mm wheels with the bullet profule. But only on the outer wheels not the inner. Yes you can fit 60s on the outer wheels. 58mm is the biggest that will fit on the inner wheels.
