i love this movie so much... years ago me and my brother rented it from the library and ever since we've been total addicts to the movie...it's amazing! then we moved and i forgot about it but now it's sort of like a reunion!!!

I met the writer of this book Roger S. Baum many years ago in Vegas. I bought the book and he autographed it and wrote a short story in it for me. Wonderful man. And great book!

Oh my goodness! It has been YEARS since I have seen this film. I saw it on Toon Disney once, loved it, and then completely forgot about. For a few years, I thought I had imagined the whole thing. :p Nice to see it again. Thanks for posting, for it brings back so many memories. :)

OMG >_> i've been looking for the title of that movie too!!! i saw it only once a long long time ago and that was the only scene i remember...when this one seagull, a male, before the mother died, said "you must make it enough to lay your egg!" or something like that..but it has stuck to me ever since~ since it doesn't seem to be that popular, i've been having trouble : < maybe now i'll find it xD glad to know someone else was also looking for the title of this. ! :D

I can't even believe that I found this, I used to watch it on Cartoon Network friday movies all the time when it was on!! ...now, I only have one childhood favorite that I have to find. Has anyone seen it? Its about a cat that ends up raising a baby seagull cuz her mother died in an oilspill. I loved that movie so much.

The only problem with this story (though it's a big one) is that if the Lion and the Wizard were friends before they even got to Oz, why didn't they recognize each other later at the Emerald City?

I loved this movie as a kid and I still do. Only one thing bugs me about it, though...the thunder accompanying the lightning is a bit on the fast side; after all, isn't light supposed to be faster than sound?

The thing is I like this AND the wizard of Oz (I did not like Return to Oz, I found that appauling), now was there an animated series of the Wizard of Oz? The lion of oz had given me a full idea for my pulp stories in which the lion is a human policeman and a lion by nigh and it is due to an amulet which he had found during his Boy Scout days and i will nott tell you the rest

I have never heard of this in my life. I was actually just wanting to change my youtube search from 'the wizard of oz' to 'the lion king', and I deleted 'the wizard' and started typing 'lion' then this came up! so now my search said 'lion of oz' and it showed this is actually a thing! What? I dont think Ive seen an animation musical that's not from disney? The lion's proportions keep changing haha so not used to this cartoon style. So is this about the lion from oz and is that balloonist the wizard? how the lion wants courage? how many spinoffs does wizard of oz have??? Havnt watched past this and dont want to look it up. Will watch more to find out.
