About Josef Newgarden:
Josef Newgarden (born December 22, 1990) is an American race car driver who was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee.
He found a passion for racing at a very early age which immediately led to go kart racing prior to his pursuit of a professional motorsports career. He is the only American to win the prestigious Formula Ford Festival in England, a well-known proving ground for up and coming European drivers. After a foray into Europe he returned to the United States to compete in the Indy Lights Series, securing the championship in his one and only season. In 2012, he secured a multi-year contract to compete professionally in the NTT IndyCar Series, a rare offer for a rookie driver.
He is the 2017 and 2019 NTT Indycar Series Champion and drives the No. 1 Dallara Chevrolet for the legendary Team Penske.

Saw Newgarden win here on a soggy Monday two years ago. Excited to see how this plays out. I’ve driven Barber on a couple of occasions and attended a race there virtually every year since it’s inception. Always amazed at how many gear changes are required for this complex, hilly circuit, regardless of the class or car.

Awesome watching you show your skills. Have to ask how does it compare to actual racing? Would love to see a video on it. Any recommendations on gear for someone looking to get into sim racing? How do you like the cockpit?

Engine sounds real smooth. What kind of oil do you use?

Why does the car bounce like that in the corners? I just started iRacing (I'm 65 yrs old) and I've noticed that a few times.

It's kurbs and also the bumps and suspension, combine that with the tires flexing and just like real life you get bumps, of course not the headshake and Gs though, hope this helps

You should watch Ericsson's channel to get the proper FOV (Field of View) for sim racing. Your FOV isn't correct. Not criticizing just helping. Unless, you were recording in VR which it looks like from the seating position. Good Luck this weekend 👍

I would say reduce your FOV to get more view and that'll definitely improve your speed and consistency
