Goodluck not spinning out on first corner doing that more than 3 times lol I never drop into 1st on that i always take 2nd the entire way and feather the pedal around the corner until i see the exit. Downshifting to first with this car on a wide turn like that is a recipe for your back sliding out.

Really? Whenever I don’t shift down into first my car slides out. I need that engine braking to keep the car on the inside of the corner

@@furqanrizwan9333 yeah if you are already braking and throwing weight to the front a downshift on top of the car being unstable is just going to make the backend slide out if you're turning at all. It'll pretty much be like that in any gear. I always brake and downshift while going straight until i feel like the car can float through the turn stable then i turn into apex with no gas and get back on the gas to the exit. I'll downshift on a turn if i want a little slip angle but thats so dangerous it could go fine 5 laps but then when you don't have tires you're going to lose it.

Definitely safer, but not faster. First will set you up with a better angle around the corner. If you find your rear sliding, adjust with throttle blip like shown in the telemetry to stabilize the rear. All just comes down to how you balance the car under braking
