iracing car sounds are one of the biggest areas of needed development next to the tire model. Hopefully this impulse response sound capture will help lower the overall compression that robs the engine noise from us. The mclaren is a perfect example.

You guys are doing an extremely good job. I have been with you for over 10 years now and you have come on in leaps and bounds. The pace of development has accelerated and with it, the quality, too. I've been doing this sim racing thing from the dawn of it. Nothing comes close to the fidelity of iRacing. Coming from a man of my sim racing experience, that means something. Keep up the good work. @@speedgoat7496 ​The force feedback complaints are a nonsense. What iRacing doesn't do is offer too much in the way of the canned effects that other games might. I think people come from other games where the FFB has those made up exaggerated effects and think it's iRacing that's bad when really, it's the other way around. It's like when people that know nothing about sound complain about the lack of "ooomf" because there are no effects or false levels adultering the sound. They complain because they are hearing the sound as it should be without terrible effects like "mega bass" or some nonsense. As for the tyres, these moanings are exagerated as well. It's not perfect, nothing ever is but it's always being worked on. The only issue really is the way they can over heat if you slide with them but this is getting better all of the time. You really need to underatand what and how iRacing is trying to achieve with the way they model the tyres. No other sim even tries to do what they do with it. Don't let the nonsense you have heard regarding FFB and tyres put you off trying it. It can be overwhelming at first. Intimidating even but nothing comes close to offering what iRacing does. The depth and richness of the experience is unparralled. It's very rewarding. As for the cost. Well, you get what you pay for, buddy. Like anything in life. There are ways to make it cheaper which you will learn over time. The mistake people make is they see it like a game and it kind of isn't. You need to see it for the service it is. It's a way for those of us that can't afford real racing to go racing. And you treat it like racing in the real world. That is to say, you pick a series you want to race in, you buy a car that competes in that series and you race that car for a season. New members get a lot of stuff in rookies for free. Sign up and race mazdas in rookies and see how you go. As you prgress you will want to compete in more advanced cars. Then you start buying cars and tracks. Just take your time. If you go there thinking it's like other games and you're going to try every car on day one, forget it. You buy as you need. If you do it right with participation credits you will spend a lot less than you think.

Please iRacing, implement something so we can test cars whenever we want! It sucks to rely on downtime, and many of us are working when that happens. How am I going to buy a car that I can't test drive first?

Sold my sim rig because of space shortage, moving cross country in the next 6 months, and hope to build another badass sim in the next year or so. Can't wait to get back behind the wheel! The new updates fix some things that I did not like about iRacing, so I'm very excited!

I still feels it's a bit too rounded and childish? Like it could do with a little less rounding off, right now it looks barebones, but in VR it looks like it fits, if you take the new smooth rounded stuff in VR it just kinda looks off.

I love iracing marketing more than the game itself. Absolutely fantastic way to spin all these hires! In reality, of course, hiring seniors and veterans means very little since these are people who have spent most of their time doing management, not development and certainly not r&d. But it sounds really good.

The instant AI feature is great, however it will drop the player into a separate class (even in single class or single make series) and they will be first in quali and first in class every race. To fix this the player currently has to click on the AI class manually and set it themselves to make sure the player and AI are in the same class.

This is great, and I am excited for everything coming! However, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see some form of a VR stability spectator mode for content creators, so VR users can stream iRacing on Twitch while having smoothed head movement, or a static cockpit view similar to what users would have on flat screen. Streaming, and creating content in VR is tough, and viewers want to see a more stabilized video feed. I would love to see a stable output for iRacing when playing in VR, so we can have a stable video feed to either record or stream, and not rely on "VR View" to capture our gameplay.

They've mentioned it in a previous video. They are working on adding reverb properly to each car and track. In a nutshell, instead of just adding reverb and calling it a day, they are programming how the sound would naturally respond to the environments it is placed in. It will take a while, but it will likely be some of the most accurate sound engineering we've ever seen.

Iracing setting out to prove and show how a subscription model should work, Iracing is taking the revenue and making their product even better, I love it 3000, keep it up. hoping you would via the UI, could have the leaderboard pop out, and other features, sector time, fuel usage and so on, have a kind of engineering pop out and/or have that for the spotter/replay, in-race stats basicly , that don't need instant updates.

Take scheduling away from communities, otherwise nobody will buy new niche tracks. I can already tell Thruxton, Croft, Valencia will all die instantly, there are just too many good tracks that people buy before and they don’t have infinite money. The ovals feel fantastic now. But I really wish more could be done with the road side. There isn’t enough managing in the road side which makes races predictable. I would also like to see more technical faults on cars - caused by kerb strikes or otherwise rough treatment of the cars

Good! Even though I haven't been racing for years - having certain features available to everyone is great! I get it that some smart people monetized a gap in demand. However, adopting these features into the default game is critical. World of Warcraft didn't ban mods either and have increasingly adopted features into the default game. While most wow-addons have been free and donations are optional, most iracing tools costs money where the 'free' option is more like a demo with desirable features locked away. It's a shameless tactic so many of the converter tools use: "we can convert any video you want. But first you have to download this tool and you can't save videos over 480p unless you pay for it."

The Mclaren is such a beautiful addition to the fleet!! 🤩 Would be a blast to get some kind of a raw and classic Touring Car like a 964 Carrera Cup Car, M3 E30 or something like that in the future! A Revival of a 964 Carrera Cup Series would be tons of fun!! Maybe in combination with germanys "small Nordschleife" called Bilster Berg? Please work with race teams on how cars react and feel. Several MX5, GT4 and GT3 racers have talked about how far off and in some cases terrible cars handle in sim compared to the real cars. Some even say they refuse to race their class in iRacing because it creates BAD habits

Looking forward to the new FFB implementation. I think the biggest detail that's lacking ( especially in GT3) is the lack of understeer feel. Bumps and curbs are good.

Would love to see some more f1 tracks if not the rest of the 2024 calendar added to the game such as Albert Park, Monaco, Baku, Bahrain, Shanghai, Yas Marina and possibly even the new Las Vegas Circuit. And then even more v8 tracks to keep that series going such as the Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise), Barbagello and Symmons Plains.

Great work. It would be great if we can switch between cars on a practice server without leaving them. At the moment it’s hard to compare different cars, because we need to use an other practise server which has often different temperatures. Also it takes so much time. I also would love a Grafic update to the nordschleife. I thinks it’s one of the most used tracks and looks very outdated.

There is no fix - only if you don’t put different country‘s in same split - but then the splits are empty
