Reality. US recon satellites monitoring the launch sites would broadcast launch info. Airborne Hawki would also provide data link data on the missiles. Task force would shift to place the escorts on the side of the side of the carrier to put additional targets between the carrier and the incoming missiles. CAP F-18s would probably engage the missiles. Additional ready alert aircraft would launch to defend the task force. It would then rain cruise missiles on Iran for several hours with intended decapitation strikes taking place.

I was watching the altitude indicator on the right and the range for missile lock on the left. It was my understanding I guess with whatever missile was being deployed the you had to be within 300 K/m or miles, not sure for launch.

300 NM is the aircraft speed. The range for target is on right bottom about 37 NM
