Exactly The problem is not hijab. It's ideology of people to always go against what we want! Whether its right or wrong no matter what but to always criticise. It is the real DISCRIMINATION. If women have right to show her body and wear clothes as she wants to then we should also have right to cover it if we want to. in India's case, it's not about allowing or denying a woman/girl to wear hijab. it's about school dress code and uniform. no one denied those girls to wear hijab in public places or their homes. uniform is there to maintain uniformity among all students. every school has a particular uniform that is to be followed by every student.

The solution to both the issues is to let everyone wear whatever they want to. I understand uniforms are important in educational institutes so make uniforms compulsory so no burqa and keep a standard colour of tights and hijab muslim students can wear but no niqab for identity and security reasons. :)

Women have got own choice. If some women want to wear hijab, nobody should interfere. And some women dont want to wear hijab, nobody should interfere. Why should other interfere into the women's dress.

Your question already been answered by the Court... What court said was, uniform is for all, so in schools one should follow the dress code.... Otherwise tomorrow girls will come in bikini and argue that it's their choice to wear anything.... Also, another argument was with Hindu girls wearing bindi and other stuffs, Court said it very clearly that those are completely different from Hijab as even muslims are also allowed to wear tabeez and all ....

Everyone should free to wear what they want to. Women can not wear hijab if they don't want to, women can wear hijab if they want to. Men can have piercings and wear nailpaint if they want to. People can have long or short hair, if they want to irrespective of their age or gender. Using garments as a means of suppressing any section of the society is wrong and this needs to stop.

Agreed. And it's not just Muslims, hindus aren't allowed to wear threads in hand or God's lockets(I don't know the proper name for it). Where I studied we weren't allowed to wear big bindis Or kumkum. Many girls love to but they understand why schools do it.

@@SpicyCrisppp u think connecting these dots are worth it. I am not against head scarf , as they only cover head but the whole burqa thing hides actual uniform. Anything that covers uniform shoul be banned. Thread or scarf are religious and dont cover dress. Wear anything(harmless) religious but uniform should be completely visible

In india hijab is not a compulsory thing so it should be the decision of the women what they want to wear . hijab is also a religious sign so it should be allowed if the women want to wear it .
