So the ship yard that builds for the Caspian should be building all of Irans ships... The Mouj class #77 that was fixed was their best effort to date this looks promising as a OPV, LCS, a light corvette. Will wait and see what air defense ? It would be covered by land based but they need to build a bit bigger and get a med range sam going. Maybe buy from China a variant of the 053 in modernized form, 3k tons range with HQ16/Kordad type sams. But a nice little ship. Need another dozen or so for the gulf?

Iran has good reasons to increase their military deterence in Caspian sea due to Azerbaijani adventurism. Sorry to burst your bubble but everything various nations due is not because of US. In the unlikely event that there will be a military confrontation in the Persian Gulf, I believe that the surface navy will never leave their port. Iran will use its extended coastline and midget subs to engage the US ships. I sincerely hope that this scenario never happens though.
