Iran Unveils New Warship "Deilaman", Boosts Naval Power Amid Tensions With US and Israel
Amid tensions with the United States and Israel, Iran had added a new destroyer, capable of launching cruise missiles, to its Caspian Sea fleet. The Iranian state media reported the inauguration of the new warship. The 1,400-ton "Deilaman" destroyer, named for a town in northern Iran, is 95 metres long and 11 metres wide. It is capable of launching torpedoes while travelling at a speed of 56 kilometres per hour. "Deilaman" can reportedly detect more than 100 targets, including vessels, drones, helicopters, submarines and aircraft, simultaneously.

The giant lake is bigger than many seas. It has access to open oceans via Volga-Don channel. But most importantly, it will stop the Azeri from drilling in the areas that are disputed between Iran and the fake republic of Baku.

Yes, give them 60 more years. At this point they need to import ships or contract to build ships with transfer of technology(TOT). Many nations are using this approach. They have 1-2 ships built overseas, and then they build a few in local ship yards

i was told persian was taught in israeli schools but it's not working. the term corvette hasn't been used in ages bc things have changed based on air defense, sub/torpedo and naval defense capabilities of this warship, not size. not any more. you need to figure out a way to deal with village of gaza first before opening that big hole in your face, lol

Secondly, based on firepower this corvette can fire only 8 cruise missiles that too of subsonic category, This category of vessels are called corvette whole over the world. The least firepower possessing corvette of my country is of atleast 2000 ton lol, and carries 16 Supersonic missiles offering world's best terrain hugging and sea skimming capabilities. Anyways this vessel will never be able to come out of caspain sea and hence it won't be able face my country's vessels. Ps - The destroyers of my country has a displacement of 9500 tons !! And can fire 32 Supersonic missiles.

This is a LIGHTLY armed and protected Corvette. It is NOT a destroyer as it is only 1400 ton. Compare the armaments and the radars built in to the latest Israeli Corvettes built by Germany and you will see a huge difference. Iran should work on its anti air and anti ship systems. I doubt if this Corvette would stand a chance against the Russian warships in the Caspian sea.

This boat is just a corvette so at least 1 better 2 classes beneath a DD (destroyer) ...not mentioning the Israeli one that is based on a German K130 but has the capabilities of a destroyer or you better call it a corvette on steroids... if Iran wants to fear, they should look at the Israeli coast... and they have several of this type. This ship is of a much older design. It is based on desighs of the British deaigns of 70s i believe. It has an older CWIS of Russian origin and would not fair well against modern antiship missiles. It is more likely to serve as a long rang missile boat rather then carrying out destroyer missions. It may possibly be able to launch hypersonic anti shipping missiles and that is about it. I did not see any air defense missiles on it. They maybe installed later. It does have a helicopter deck and hanger so it may be able to conduct anti sub missions as well as ship boarding missions with special forces.
